Fu Yunshen said he came to deliver the items Zhu Jiu arranged for Mengmeng. Only after Mengmeng's mother allowed him in did he start persuading her. Mengmeng's mother stated they wouldn't withdraw the lawsuit. Fu Yunshen tried to convince Mengmeng's mother not to be influenced by others, handing her the business card of Lawyer Wang. Without further explanation, Mengmeng's father, despite Mengmeng's mother's advice, went to the lawyer's office but was thrown out by the security. When he tried calling Zhou's mother, no one answered. He sat on the ground in despair, crying.

Fu Yunshen called Zhu Jiu, congratulating her on returning to work. He informed her that Zhou Zhizhi helped, and after returning to the hospital, Zhu Jiu thanked Zhou Zhizhi, who coldly said no thanks were necessary and left. Fu Xizhou finished reading the online novel written by Gu Ruanruan. He left a comment wishing the real-life protagonists well, but others criticized him, calling him a scumbag. Fu Xizhou argued with them. Gu Ruanruan, urged by her editor, checked the comments on the novel's page, discovering Fu Xizhou's comment and smiling.

A month later, Fu Yunshen finally woke up. Zhu Jiu received a call and happily rushed to the hospital. At the door, she found Fu Yunshen's family already there but hesitated to enter. When Fu Yunshen opened his eyes, he immediately asked about Zhu Jiu. Jiang Shuning was dissatisfied, and Fu Lingtian intervened, saying Fu Yunshen needed rest, and they should leave. Jiang Shuning wanted Zhou Zhizhi to stay and take care of Fu Yunshen, but Fu Yunshen refused. Fu Yunshen asked Chen Le to stay, saying he had something for him to do. At the door, Zhu Jiu wanted to enter the ward but was blocked by the bodyguards. Jiang Shuning mocked her, and Zhu Jiu, unwilling to endure, revealed the truth about Mengmeng. The two exchanged harsh words, and Jiang Shuning left angrily.

Cheng Zong, the general manager of the cold chain company, arrested Jiang Jun because he was sued by Fu Yunshen. Cheng Zong demanded Jiang Jun bear half of the compensation and then threw him out. Zhu Jiu disguised herself as a nurse to visit Fu Yunshen in the hospital. Feeling guilty, Zhu Jiu thought it was all because of her that Fu Yunshen was harmed. Fu Yunshen comforted her, and the two pretended to be sweet, successfully tricking the bodyguards questioning the nurses.
