Ji Silang had some free time and went to visit Zhu Jiu's grandmother. Zhu Jiu's grandmother was very happy. Many people thought Ji Silang and Zhu Jiu were a couple, but Zhu Jiu's grandmother stated that her granddaughter, Zhu Jiu, had a boyfriend. To avoid misunderstandings among the other patients, she asked Ji Silang to leave. However, she suddenly coughed up blood.

Ji Silang hurriedly found Zhu Jiu and informed her about her grandmother's condition. Jiang Jun came to Jiang Zong and pleaded with her for help, but Jiang Zong was still very angry, as what he had done previously was unforgivable.

Jiang Zong came to see Zhu Jiu and offered to help her find a liver donor if she left Fu Yunshen. However, their conversation was overheard by Chen Le, who didn't know how to tell Fu Yunshen. Finally, Chen Le decided to inform Fu Yunshen.

Jiang Zong had thought this would make Zhu Jiu compromise, but Zhu Jiu didn't care and said that if Jiang Zong continued this way, it would only push her and Fu Yunshen further apart. Fu Yunshen returned home, and Zhou Zhizhi saw him and offered to take him back. Fu Yunshen asked his mother what she wanted. Jiang Zong thought Zhu Jiu had complained to Fu Yunshen, but Fu Yunshen clarified that she hadn't. He told his mother not to hurt each other, setting his boundaries.

Fu Yunshen left his mother's place, realizing that Jiang Zong had led a tough life, with her husband having an affair and her father bringing Fu Xizhou back to raise. Jiang Zong even considered taking sleeping pills to end her life. Fu Yunshen asked how she could let go of her obsession. Jiang Zong's only goal was to break up Zhu Jiu and Fu Yunshen. During their argument, Jiang Zong pushed the weakened Fu Yunshen to the ground, causing him to bleed profusely. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Zhou Zhizhi also told Zhu Jiu about this incident. Zhu Jiu was now completely devastated because Fu Yunshen and her grandmother were the most important people in her life, and both were in danger. The mother of the little girl came to beg Zhu Jiu not to sue them, but Zhu Jiu refused to let them off because Fu Yunshen was still in critical condition. Ji Silang came as well and mentioned the foundation that Fu Yunshen had set up for the little girl.

Fu Yunshen's condition was extremely poor. Although he was temporarily stable, even a common cold could jeopardize his life. After learning that Fu Yunshen had awakened, Zhu Jiu wanted to see him. However, she was stopped by Jiang Zong's bodyguards. Fu Yunshen, aware of Zhu Jiu's presence, chose not to let her in. He knew about his medical condition and didn't want to see Zhu Jiu get upset. Fu Yunshen told his mother that he would agree to break up with Zhu Jiu.
