Grandfather finally woke up, but the current situation has not completely recovered. He still needs careful care. Fu Yunshen has been accompanying his grandfather. Grandfather told Fu Yunshen not to blame his brother, as sibling arguments are normal. Fu Yunshen asked his grandfather to rest well and left on his own.

Fu Xizhou, sitting in the car, suddenly received a call from Fu Yunshen. Fu Yunshen informed Fu Xizhou about their grandfather waking up and conveyed that their grandfather did not blame him. Fu Yunshen hoped his brother could come and see their grandfather, but Fu Xizhou was filled with hatred. Fu Xizhou couldn't understand Fu Yunshen. Although he spoke with bitterness, when Fu Yunshen asked where he was, Fu Xizhou hung up, not out of hatred, but because his eyes were filled with tears.

Gu Ruanruan bid farewell to colleagues as she prepared to go abroad, but she still needed to complete her work. Every day, she kept herself busy until late, trying to forget about Fu Xizhou. However, at night, when she was alone, Gu Ruanruan couldn't help but feel reluctant. After all, this place held her fondest memories.

Jiang Zong stayed by his grandfather's side. Grandfather knew about the estrangement between Fu Yunshen and Jiang Zong's mother. Jiang Zong knew his son was still blaming him. Grandfather didn't want his daughter-in-law to make the same mistake, and Jiang Zong asked if he ever considered letting Fu Yunshen inherit the company. Grandfather apologized, and Jiang Zong did not insist, stating that only his son remained.

After drinking a lot, Fu Xizhou's secretary couldn't reach him. Eventually, she found him. Fu Xizhou knew his investment plans were ruined, so he didn't insist. The secretary, seeing Fu Xizhou drunk, wanted to take him home, but he refused. Now, he could only numb himself.

In the refugee camp, Zhu Jiu suddenly received a patient who turned out to be injured. Unexpectedly, Gu Ruanruan also arrived. After Zhu Jiu finished rescuing a little girl, she informed Gu Ruanruan that although the girl's life was saved, she had lost a leg. Gu Ruanruan couldn't believe that such a young girl had lost a leg due to war. She didn't know how the girl would face her future. Zhu Jiu asked if Gu Ruanruan came alone and learned that she was here to shoot a documentary. Zhu Jiu praised Gu Ruanruan for her bravery and took her to the clinic. Zhu Jiu continued to write letters to Fu Yunshen. Seeing the girl's volatile state, Zhu Jiu was reminded of Fu Yunshen's past and hoped the girl could survive the toughest days.

At night, Zhu Jiu continued to care for the injured patients, despite the simple conditions. Although the conditions were harsh, Zhu Jiu felt that time passed faster due to the love in her heart.

Fu Yunshen saw his grandfather sleeping with a photo. He quietly covered his grandfather with a blanket, but his grandfather woke up. Fu Yunshen urged his grandfather to get well soon. Seeing Fu Yunshen's melancholic expression, his grandfather knew he was heartbroken. Grandfather advised Fu Yunshen not to give up on Zhu Jiu. Later, he asked Fu Yunshen to take him somewhere, and they visited Fu Xizhou's mother. Grandfather recalled the past, revealing that because of the Lingtian Group, Fu Yunshen's father was forced to marry Fu Yunshen's mother, causing harm to both Fu Yunshen's mother and Fu Xizhou's mother. Fu Yunshen comforted his grandfather, hoping he could let go of the past. Grandfather asked Fu Yunshen to fetch the car and stayed a bit longer. Unfortunately, his health was not good, and he passed away shortly after.

The lawyer read grandfather's will, which not only left things to Fu Xizhou but also to Fu Xizhou's mother, surprising Fu Xizhou. Fu Yunshen glanced at his brother and left with him.

Alone at Zhu Jiu's doorstep, Fu Yunshen could finally reveal his true feelings. Unable to hold back, he cried. He sent a message to Zhu Jiu, crying that his grandfather had passed away, and he had lost Zhu Jiu too. Overwhelmed with sadness, Fu Yunshen answered Zhu Jiu's call, and both of them cried together. Though no words were exchanged, it conveyed more than a thousand words.
