When Fu Yunshen went to visit Fu Xizhou's mother, Fu Xizhou also arrived. Fu Yunshen mentioned that the flowers on Auntie's tombstone were sent by their grandfather. In fact, Grandfather always felt guilty towards Fu Xizhou's mother. Fu Xizhou told his mother that although he achieved what he wanted through struggles, he felt like he had lost everything.

Fu Xizhou had coffee with Zhou Zhizhi. When they were young, Zhou Zhizhi, Fu Yunshen, and Gu Ruanruan used to play together. Fu Xizhou wanted to inquire about Gu Ruanruan's situation because he was most worried about her. Meanwhile, Gu Ruanruan, looking at the medicine pack prepared by Zhou Zhizhi, felt warmth in her heart.

Due to Grandfather's passing, Fu Yunshen decided to leave, and his mother realized she had lost. Fu Yunshen comforted his mother, saying that some things are not about winning or losing. He expressed his wish to focus on drug development, having no interest in managing the company. Jiang Zong regretted that he pushed Fu Yunshen away. Fu Yunshen consoled his mother, saying to let go of the past and look forward to the future. Despite having nothing left, Fu Yunshen assured his mother that no matter where he was, he would be there whenever she needed him.

Fu Yunshen, looking at his research center, allowed Chen Le to stay behind. Chen Le knew Fu Yunshen's purpose in visiting the M country was to find Zhu Jiu. Before leaving, Fu Yunshen handed over some research materials to Chen Le, feeling reassured with him there.

Zhou Zhizhi accompanied Fu Yunshen to the airport, promising to visit Fu Yunshen's mother when she had time. Zhou Zhizhi had finally let go of the past.

Fu Xizhou officially took over the company. Initially, the secretary started removing Grandfather's belongings, but Fu Xizhou asked her to leave things as they were. Meanwhile, Zhu Jiu and Ji Silang discussed the situation of a little girl. Later, more patients arrived, and Gu Ruanruan learned that the girl, traumatized by the war, had difficulty eating. Zhu Jiu comforted Gu Ruanruan, who was worried about leaving. Zhu Jiu called Rio to discuss the treatment, suggesting bringing the girl over for a change of environment.

Fu Xizhou, on a helicopter, arrived at the village with the sole purpose of developing a drug to treat Danmin Syndrome. When Fu Yunshen arrived at the treatment center, it was chaotic with the cries of the wounded. Rio, busy at work, was relieved to see Fu Yunshen, knowing they lacked many things. Aware that Fu Yunshen came for Zhu Jiu, Rio had made preparations for him. Fu Yunshen occasionally watered the plants when he had time, in a great mood as he looked forward to seeing Zhu Jiu—something more important to him than anything else.

Zhu Jiu, accompanied by the little girl, prepared to leave. When Fu Yunshen saw the girl, Zhu Jiu had gone to deliver supplies. The nurse informed Fu Yunshen that Zhu Jiu would arrive soon.

Before going to work, Fu Xizhou heard that there was frequent unrest in the M country, making him worried. He took the opportunity to inquire about Gu Ruanruan from Zhou Zhizhi. Fu Yunshen was concerned about Gu Ruanruan's safety abroad. Fu Xizhou hoped Zhou Zhizhi could provide information about Gu Ruanruan's recent situation, but Zhou Zhizhi did not agree.

Fu Xizhou, missing Gu Ruanruan, visited the exhibition center. Later, he intentionally brought in the media, expressing his yearning for Gu Ruanruan through them.

While delivering supplies, Zhu Jiu looked at the necklace in her hand—a couple's necklace with Fu Yunshen. It was the only thing that gave her solace. However, when delivering supplies with Ji Silang, they encountered mercenaries. The driver intended to negotiate but was shot dead. Ji Silang was taken away with a stab wound in his back. The rescue center was now occupied by mercenaries. Zhu Jiu saw a patient she had once helped; he was the leader here. They brought Zhu Jiu and her companion because they wanted to treat the leader's uncle. Zhu Jiu's companion was killed. Facing imminent danger, Ji Silang quickly suggested that if they killed Zhu Jiu, they wouldn't help his uncle.
