The tavern "Sticky Club" that was renovated from a large courtyard in a Beijing hutong is a notorious haunted house. The four tenants, Long Ge, Niu Hulu, Lao Si, and Cui Genxian, live a miserable life. Suddenly, the landlord's daughter, Xue Qin, appears and plans to sell the house. However, they have a dispute over the refund of the rent. Coincidentally, the real estate tycoon, Mr. Ai, brings news of the hutong's demolition. They reach an agreement that as long as the tavern can maintain its business and remove the haunted house label, they will receive 140 million yuan in compensation. Otherwise, the property will be worthless. In order to achieve their common interests, they decide to renovate the Sticky Club and finally welcome their first mysterious guest...
