Hua's mother sent a wet nurse to ask Hua Qian about Hua Shen's situation. Hua Qian suddenly smelled a familiar scent, but the wet nurse had not used incense. Hua Qian felt somewhat disappointed and closed her eyes without speaking. The wet nurse didn't get an answer and could only sigh and leave. And so, Hua Qian lay day by day in her rocking chair, unwilling to speak or move. The palace maids saw this and felt heartbroken but were helpless.

On a sunny day, while Hua Qian was in a deep sleep, her head slid down unconsciously. She was about to hit the chair when Hua Rongzhou hurried over and used his hand to protect her head. Hua Qian stretched lazily and asked about Hua Rongzhou's background. Learning of Hua Rongzhou's difficult past, Hua Qian couldn't help but feel compassionate. She gently stroked his forehead, showing sisterly affection in her eyes. But for Hua Rongzhou, Hua Qian's gesture was like igniting a long-buried fire in his heart.

As they were talking, Zhong Yelan entered. Hua Rongzhou quickly got up and stood protectively in front of Hua Qian. Seeing this, Zhong Yelan couldn't help but mock them, saying that Hua Qian had raised a loyal servant. Hua Qian was annoyed and asked Zhong Yelan whether she was in the wrong, or if he was biased against her, making her feel that everything she did was wrong. Zhong Yelan felt like Hua Qian was complaining about him and thought she spoke in a contradictory manner. Hua Qian didn't want to argue with him and told him that if killing Hua Shen would give him peace of mind, he was welcome to do it.

Now, Hua Qian finally understood why she had been reborn on her wedding night. It was because if she had been reborn any earlier, she might have once again shielded Hua's family without seeing the truth. After thinking it through, Hua Qian decided to go out into the yard and start managing the business, seeing what funds and goods she could withdraw. After a whole day of work, Hua Qian intended to treat Qian Zhi and Hua Rongzhou to a fine meal. After eating and drinking their fill, the three of them went to stroll on the streets, and Hua Qian's face finally revealed a smile.

As they were enjoying themselves, Zhong Xiwu suddenly appeared in front of them, dampening Hua Qian's mood. However, Zhong Xiwu insisted on taking her somewhere, so since they were out for a walk, Hua Qian decided to go along. Hua Qian looked up at the tall attic that seemed to reach the sky and politely made a bow, ready to leave. But Zhong Xiwu, without a second word, held her hand and led her upstairs. Hua Qian, feeling helpless, pretended to be unwell. To her surprise, Zhong Xiwu reached out as if he was about to carry her horizontally. Hua Qian felt a moment of panic, and reluctantly followed him.

After a while, Hua Qian finally reached the top of the attic. She was panting heavily, her body aching all over. With Zhong Xiwu's encouragement, she reluctantly got up and approached the edge of the attic, seeing the splendid night view of the bustling city below. Hua Qian couldn't help but ask why Zhong Xiwu was being so good to her. Zhong Xiwu was startled by this question and turned away, explaining that friends should help each other. However, Hua Qian misunderstood Zhong Xiwu, thinking he wanted her to recover and return to Zhong Yelan's embrace so he could have a chance with Mu Yao again.

Thinking about this, Hua Qian couldn't help but sigh. She then walked towards the railing and was about to leave. But Zhong Xiwu was scared, reached out and held her to prevent her from falling. Seeing how Zhong Xiwu panicked, Hua Qian couldn't help but laugh, asking if he wanted her to have an affair. What she said unintentionally struck a chord with Zhong Xiwu. He was clearly startled by her words and quickly warned her not to speak further. The atmosphere became awkward for a moment, and Hua Qian could only gaze into the distance.

Later, Zhong Xiwu brought a bottle of wine, intending to share it with Hua Qian under the moonlight. But before Zhong Xiwu could get cups, Hua Qian took the bottle and started drinking from it. She didn't realize that the bottle contained the strongest liquor. However, when she finally noticed, it was already too late. She quickly handed the remaining wine to Zhong Xiwu and rushed downstairs. Seeing the seemingly endless staircase before her, Hua Qian felt dizzy and asked Hua Rongzhou to carry her back. Along the way, fueled by the alcohol, she poured out all the bitterness in her heart. Hua Rongzhou listened quietly, deep in thought.
