Hua Qian cautiously extended her hand, but not far away, she suddenly heard Cui Zhu's anxious voice. Cui Zhu, with a quivering voice, came running, requesting Hua Qian to check on Hua Rongzhou. Hua Qian's heart tightened, and she turned to thank Zhong Xiwu before asking him not to mention anything else. Then, she quickly followed Cui Zhu. As she moved away, Zhong Xiwu regained his composure, but instead of regretting Hua Qian's subtle expression of gratitude, he was rather annoyed with himself for startling her.

On the day Hua Qian fell off the cliff, Hua Rongzhou got injured while trying to save her. Yesterday, he was struck by Zhong Yelan, causing his wound to reopen. Hua Qian felt some regret for not noticing Hua Rongzhou's injuries earlier. Cui Zhu, standing beside them, defended Hua Rongzhou and, regardless of her own status, reprimanded Hua Qian. Hua Qian knew she was in the wrong and remained silent, lowering her head. She suddenly realized that everyone was giving their all for her, while she always seemed selfish. Luckily, she had discovered it in time this time.

Hua Qian had intended to leave, but her clothing was suddenly held by Hua Rongzhou, who was having a nightmare. She tried to yank her clothes away, but she couldn't overpower the sleeping Hua Rongzhou. Helplessly, she sat down on the side, keeping watch until morning. Early the next day, Hua Rongzhou finally woke up. Hua Qian was also awakened and quickly got up to check his injuries. But Hua Rongzhou was still clutching onto her clothing, making her involuntarily fall into his embrace. Both were embarrassed and quickly separated. Hua Rongzhou felt that he had offended Hua Qian and, despite his wounds not being completely healed, he hurriedly got up to apologize. Hua Qian didn't know what to say and advised him to rest, promising to visit him later.

Zhong Yelan and Mu Yao had a heart-to-heart conversation, where Zhong Yelan admitted that he knew the kidnapping incident was all her doing. In the past, Zhong Yelan had always thought that Hua Qian was cunning and would do anything to achieve her goals. Indeed, Hua Qian used to be like that. But now, Mu Yao seemed no different from the past Hua Qian. Mu Yao was filled with mixed emotions, and his legs felt weak for a moment.

To investigate the identity of the black-clothed person from that day, Hua Qian borrowed some assistance from her father. She had these people watch over the Zhong residence, paying special attention to Mu Yao's actions and looking out for anyone sneaking around at night. Hua Qian herself wasn't idle. She wore the white jade bracelet that the Princess Consort had given her and went to visit the Zhong Family Estate. Although the Princess Consort was not as close to her as before, she didn't distance herself either and allowed Hua Qian to keep the white jade bracelet. Later, Hua Qian openly discussed her recent encounter with Zhong Xiwu with the Princess Consort. The Princess Consort listened carefully and promised to keep an eye on Zhong Xiwu and prevent him from disturbing her.

Hua Qian stood up, and with great sincerity, she told the Princess Consort that once she had investigated the assassination incident thoroughly, she would leave the City of Splendors with her parents. The Princess Consort had mixed feelings, including reluctance but seemed to feel relieved. After some thought, she finally reminded Hua Qian that the world wouldn't tolerate a scandal between Zhong Xiwu and Zhong Yelan, as it would endanger Hua Qian's safety. Hua Qian understood the Princess Consort's meaning and knelt down to express her gratitude.
