Hua Qian didn't want to linger with Mu Yao. She openly stated that it was because of her probing that her brother had innocently lost his life. But Mu Yao didn't feel any guilt. She just believed that after this incident, Hua Qian should be able to understand her own feelings. Hua Qian was grieving for her brother's death, and when her female servant, Linglong, had tragically died, she was also heartbroken. However, Hua Qian felt that they couldn't let this matter rest because Mu Yao still owed her a life.

Mu Yao became somewhat anxious and asked Hua Qian if she wanted her to repay her life. Hua Qian wasn't interested in her life but wanted to find out the true mastermind behind that group of forces. Mu Yao had no idea who those people were, but she reluctantly agreed to help Hua Qian to rescue Wu Shuomo. Once back, Mu Yao asked Zisu, her female servant, who had been planted beside her, to investigate the traitors in the Wu family.

Actually, Zhong Yelan was well aware of Mu Yao and Wu Shuomo's actions, but because of his feelings for Mu Yao, he had turned a blind eye. However, the situation had become increasingly uncontrollable, and he had to intervene to remind Mu Yao not to persist in her denial. But Mu Yao had already lost her way, and she regretted not ignoring the parrot being targeted by the snake that had led to everything. Zhong Yelan tightly held her hand and expressed his feelings, assuring her that he would always be by her side. Mu Yao was moved, and tears welled up in her eyes as she buried her head in Zhong Yelan's chest.

At night, Hua Qian gazed blankly at the bright moon in the sky, pondering something. She told Hua Rongzhou that she wanted to deal with someone. Before Hua Qian could mention the person's name, Hua Rongzhou readily agreed. For him, no matter who Hua Qian wanted to deal with, he would do his utmost to assist her. To demonstrate his capabilities, Hua Rongzhou even disclosed that he had killed someone. However, Hua Qian simply treated him as a young boy and didn't pay much attention to his words.

On this day, Hua Wenang, unusually, invited her to go fishing, and Hua Qian gladly kept him company. However, she was always too eager to succeed, so after a long time, Mu Yao caught a fish before her. Hua Wenang appeared much more relaxed and nonchalantly pulled out a fat fish. He took the opportunity to advise Hua Qian that as long as there was enough bait and patience, there was no need to worry about the fish not taking the bait.

Nan Feng always found ways to come to the Hua residence, and Qian Zhi thought he was thinking about Hua Qian, scolding him angrily. However, Nan Feng pulled at Qian Zhi's sleeve and openly confessed that he was attracted to her. Qian Zhi was filled with mixed emotions, not knowing how to respond. She could only reprimand Nan Feng and tell him not to come again. After this, Qian Zhi was always preoccupied and absent-minded throughout the day. Hua Qian learned about it and decided to take the initiative to assess Nan Feng's sincerity. Understanding that Nan Feng genuinely cared for Qian Zhi, Hua Qian told him that she wouldn't stand in his way if he pursued Qian Zhi. However, the outcome of this relationship depended on Qian Zhi's feelings.

Even though Qian Zhi didn't say it, Hua Qian knew that she had feelings for Nan Feng too. Now that the thin veil had been pierced, Hua Qian contemplated preparing some dowry for Qian Zhi. On her way, she was stopped by a young beggar. Hua Qian saw the poor child and bent down to inquire about his situation. However, the young beggar snatched her money pouch. Hua Rongzhou caught the young beggar and scolded him sternly. But Hua Qian wasn't concerned about the money; she felt even more pity for these homeless children.

Hua Rongzhou was reminded of the first time he had met Hua Qian, back when he was a homeless beggar. Yet, Hua Qian had shown kindness and helped him. Later, he became a waiter at the restaurant and rushed to help whenever Hua Qian was in trouble. During the ancestral ceremony, Hua Rongzhou kept Hua Qian's words in his heart, wanting to protect her while also considering protecting himself. Hua Qian felt somewhat awkward; she had never paid attention to these things.
