Watching her father being taken away, Hua Qian felt immense pain in her heart. Princess Chang stepped in to put an end to the commotion. However, Hua Qian took a deep breath and, as if she had made a decision, turned to speak seriously. She stated that her father's words had come from a father's love, and what she had done today went against family bonds. She didn't want to make more mistakes and hoped that her actions wouldn't affect her family.

Zhong Xiwu tried to defend Hua Qian vigorously, but she had already resolved to take the blame for her father. Seeing that the situation was spiraling out of control, Princess Chang quickly ordered unrelated people to leave. Zhong Yelan wanted to say something but was stopped by Mu Yao. In this situation, further words from outsiders could add fuel to the fire. Helpless, Zhong Yelan and Mu Yao left.

Zhong Xiwu knelt in front of Hua Qian, hoping she would understand his intentions. However, Hua Qian avoided looking at him and remained stubbornly silent. When Princess Chang passed by, she sighed softly and left in resignation. Zhong Xiwu tried to help Hua Qian up, but she pushed him away. On this day, Meng Yifei, accompanied by a few guards, came to seek revenge against Hua Qian and questioned her recklessly. To her surprise, she didn't find any trace of Hua Qian. Gingko informed her that Hua Qian was absent in an attempt to ease her frustration. However, Hua Qian remained emotionless, staring at a book without a hint of a smile on her face.

Meng Yifei complained to Princess Chang, hoping for her support in punishing Hua Qian. But instead of sympathy, she stripped Meng Yifei of her privileges at Zhong's Mansion. Meng Yifei was terrified, realizing she had lost the support of Princess Chang. However, she couldn't swallow this humiliation and decided to seek assistance from various supervisors. On that day, Meng's supervisor publicly spoke up for Meng Yifei, urging Zhong Xiwu to punish Hua Qian as a lesson. Zhong Xiwu, furious, announced that Zhong Yelan would go to the south to replace the Meng family. The supervisor could do nothing but accept it.

Afterward, Zhong Xiwu confronted Meng Yifei, warning her to control her tongue. If she attempted to pressure him through the Meng family again, his patience had its limits. Meng Yifei was feeling wronged and tried to win Zhong Xiwu's sympathy with the wounds on her face. But she miscalculated; Zhong Xiwu was well aware of her earlier schemes against the Hua family. Meng Yifei suddenly felt hopeless, as if she had walked to the edge of a cliff with no way back.

Mu Yao had intended to plead on behalf of the Hua family, as the issue had started with the Mu family. However, in the current situation, further words would be of no use. After contemplating, Zhong Yelan decided to visit Zhong's Mansion personally. As Mu Yao had pointed out, sometimes a man's jealousy could consume his rationality.
