Dai Daji received a call saying that Zhou Shui had been taken to the police station, so she rushed over. The person Zhou Shui had hit was none other than that scumbag. Senior Yiming said he wouldn’t settle. At the time, Dai Daji thought that in order to get Zhou Shui out, she had to first stabilize him, but she knew she would eventually settle the score with that man. When questioned, Zhou Shui didn’t explain why he had hit someone.

If Zhou Shui ended up in prison, his life would be ruined. Senior Yiming refused, so Dai Daji broke down and said she was willing to sleep with him. In front of a room full of his friends, she started taking off her clothes.

Senior Yiming panicked and finally agreed to settle, even returning the 20,000 yuan he had previously scammed from her. Though the matter was resolved, Zhou Shui still had to stay inside for a few more days. Once it was confirmed he was truly okay, Dai Daji finally breathed a sigh of relief. Summer 2024, Beijing. True feelings are revealed in hard times—Zhou Shui was determined to live a steady life from now on.

But Dai Daji believed that Zhou Shui went in because of her. As long as they stayed together, neither of them could truly feel at peace. Their love was beautiful, but short-lived. Dai Daji paid three months of rent at once and said Zhou Shui could cover the rest himself. Zhou Shui carried a bowl of freshly boiled dumplings back to the room and anxiously talked about his experience inside. Dai Daji said nothing.

With the feeling of impending departure in her heart, she kissed him. After one last moment of passion, she finished an entire bottle of Erguotou. Before leaving, Su Zihao’s eyes were filled with reluctance as he looked at Dong Leyi. He returned to give her a parting kiss.
