Sheng Yang, reminded by Song Chen, learned that Jian Bing had called him. He mustered the courage to call her back and heard that Jian Bing wanted to add him on WeChat to repay the money. He quickly refused, but Song Chen reminded him that he should accept the WeChat request. Sheng Yang then realized this and accepted the request.

Jian Bing went home to pack her bags, preparing to live separately from Xue Yiming. Xue Yiming thought she had contacted Sheng Yang to seek revenge for his infidelity and believed there might still be a chance for them to reconcile. He started playing the emotional card, but Jian Bing firmly stated that her decision was made. After Xue Yiming left, Sheng Yang came to see Jian Bing. He saw her looking downcast, holding a large box, and approached her with concern. After helping her get rid of the box, Jian Bing shut him out.

Later that night, Jian Bing and Liang Shanshan drowned their sorrows in alcohol at home. Suddenly, Jian Bing remembered that her award trophy from a previous advertising campaign might be in the box that Sheng Yang had thrown away. She immediately sent him a WeChat message to inquire.

Sheng Yang received Jian Bing's WeChat message during a department celebration banquet. Initially, he had been mistreated by his team leader for helping Pan Rou, and he didn't want to give in to the team leader's demands anymore. However, when he saw Jian Bing's message, Sheng Yang immediately apologized and left the banquet to find her.

Sheng Yang returned Jian Bing's award trophy and gave her a ride back home. In the car, he mentioned that he had entered the industry because of her, but Jian Bing was already quite drunk and didn't hear Sheng Yang's heartfelt confession.

On the other side, Liang Shanshan couldn't reach Jian Bing on the phone, so she called Xue Yiming to help her find Jian Bing. She also scolded Xue Yiming harshly on behalf of Jian Bing.
