Lingdian, Leng Siming woke up and saw that Meng Haotian was both happy and aggrieved. Meng Haotian had promised him that she would participate in all important occasions in the future. Lingdian was a little angry and had a stern face. He asked Meng Haotian about his position in her heart. Meng Haotian expressed that Lingdian was very important to her and apologized to him. The two of them resolved their past grievances and started to play around.

In the video call, Meng Haotian mentioned that no one is willing to invest in them at the moment, and the short dramas they want to make cost a lot of money. They started discussing the feasibility of producing the short dramas. Meng Haotian felt that they needed to hire a professional team to make the dramas and then assign them tasks. Lingdian, on the other hand, wanted to hire a team specifically to research caregiver robot technology to serve their products. Upon hearing this, Yu Yang thought of Qiao Kuan from the Shuangqiao team and mentioned that their technology is relatively mature. Lingdian planned to go and try it out.

Amy and Feng Shuai visited the filming set to visit Xia Yang. Xia Yang was very happy to be able to return to the set and shoot again. When they learned that they were looking for actors, Xia Yang expressed her willingness to help them shoot videos for free. Lingdian and Yu Yang went to Shuangqiao Company, where the office staff were busy modifying the program. Lingdian introduced himself as doing intelligent robot caregiving and wanted to seek cooperation, but Qiao Kuan immediately said they didn't need it and continued working.

Seeing this, Lingdian and Yu Yang decided to go back and discuss it further. Just as they were leaving, Wang Dawei saw them leaving Shuangqiao Company. He immediately called Yuan Wenbin and told him that Lingdian wasn't planning to do smart home devices but caregiver robots instead. Yuan Wenbin immediately turned the car around and asked Wang Dawei to come back to the company for a meeting. Meng Haotian's mother called her and said she had already reserved a spot at a hot pot restaurant, asking her and Lingdian to join her for dinner at 6 PM. Thinking that her mother wanted to have a lively gathering, Meng Haotian, after finishing her call with Lingdian, decided to invite Leng Nuan, Xiao Tuan, and Jiang Leilei as well.

Leng Nuan arrived at Huayitang, and Xiao Tuan mistook her for a thief and locked her inside the flower shop. Leng Nuan introduced herself as Lingdian's sister. Jiang Leilei happened to return to the flower shop and unlocked it for her. Leng Nuan explained that she came voluntarily to help but could only work part-time because she was still in school. Jiang Leilei, seeing that Leng Nuan didn't want any salary, promised her a commission for every successful order she handled.

Lingdian, who agreed to meet at three o'clock, was more than an hour late. Yu Yang was worried that something had happened to Lingdian. At Marji's house, Marji was suffering from a hangover headache when someone knocked on her door, disturbing her. Marji called Leng Siming and asked him to come to her house. Leng Siming arrived at Marji's doorstep, and the man still wanted to harass Marji. Leng Siming stopped him, and in the scuffle, his finger accidentally got injured.

At Marji's house, Marji explained that she got drunk last night and went to the wrong door. Leng Siming asked Marji what happened. Marji said that Sun Hao, her ex-boyfriend, was getting married to his first love. She sacrificed a lot for him but didn't get anything in return during their five years of dating. Leng Siming felt that she shouldn't torture herself like this and comforted her, telling her to learn to accept it and that time would heal everything.

Leng Siming finally arrived at the hot pot restaurant and explained that something unexpected came up, causing the delay. When Meng Haotian saw Leng Siming's injured hand, she quickly pulled him aside to ask about it. Leng Siming explained that Marji's neighbor was harassing her, and he got injured while helping out. Meng Haotian's mother, who had eavesdropped, warned Meng Haotian after Leng Siming left, advising her to maintain a proper distance between adults and to be more cautious.

At night, Meng Haotian anxiously helped Leng Siming treat his wound and then returned to her room and locked the door. Leng Siming had to bring a blanket from his own place and lay down on the couch to rest. The next day, Leng Siming overslept and entered the room intending to wake up Meng Haotian, but she had already left. In the office, as soon as Leng Siming arrived, Marji placed the breakfast she made for him on his desk and thanked him for helping her yesterday. Marji mentioned that she heard that the Shuangqiao team might be on the verge of bankruptcy, and they were currently lacking funds on a large scale.

At Paishe Video Studio, everyone was busy preparing to welcome Xia Yang and the director of the short film. However, the appointed time had passed, and the person who arrived was actually Mr. Li, the boss of Xia Yang's company. Mr. Li explained that Liang Luofei, the backstage manager of Xingqi Yixian, had some grievances against Meng Haotian and Xia Yang. Although Xia Yang was eager to help, Mr. Li said that he had to be responsible for the company's and the artist's interests.

Meng Haotian could only express her understanding and realized that the scheduled director did not show up today, probably for this reason as well. Mr. Li expressed his belief in the future development and potential growth of Meng Haotian's company but mentioned that resource acquisition would be limited within the industry. Meng Haotian thanked Mr. Li for his reminder. Afterwards, Meng Haotian found Fang Hui and handed her the planning proposal for the short film "Light Gatherer."
