Leng Siming and Yu Yang bring Maji to Shuangqiao Company for a business discussion but unexpectedly see Yuan Wenbin and Wang Dawei coming out of the meeting room. Wang Dawei states that Shuangqiao Company has agreed to cooperate, and Mengjie also confirms her agreement to work with Yuan Wenbin. Fang Hui brings the director and screenwriter to the Pie Video Studio. Afterwards, Aimidun and others discuss the script with the director and screenwriter in preparation for the short film shooting.

In Shuangqiao, Wang Dawei tests the dual-headed robot's functions and finds them satisfactory. However, when Qiao Kuan asks a question, the robot keeps calculating but fails to provide a coherent answer. Wang Dawei thinks that Lingzhi's voice assistant can do better, so he asks Qiao Kuan to modify the program. Qiao Kuan believes that the voice assistant's responses are too perfunctory. As a companion robot, users want to have genuine emotional communication with it. Yuan Wenbin suggests not taking it too seriously, which angers Qiao Kuan, who walks away in anger. Mengjie quickly intervenes to ease the tension.

Another technician informs Yuan Wenbin that the main problem is the robot's inability to maintain continuous communication. Its answers are incoherent and inconsistent. They are currently working on solving this technical challenge but do not know when it will be resolved. Mengjie approaches Qiao Kuan and suggests finding an investor who offers the highest funding and has a strong background to support them.

At Pie Video, Fang Hui visits Meng Haotian with coffee. Meng Haotian thanks Fang Hui and acknowledges that it is because of her that the short film project can be officially launched. Learning that the director has been unable to find suitable actors for a long time, Fang Hui hands over the profiles of Five Elements Media artists to Meng Haotian.

In Huayitang, Li Chenyang brings the necklace Leng Siming bought to Leng Nuan and tells her that Leng Siming is no longer angry, asking her to come back home quickly. At that moment, Qi Lang brings a cup of milk tea to Jiang Leilei, and Jiang Leilei introduces them to each other. To repay Leng Nuan's help, Jiang Leilei passes the milk tea to Leng Nuan. Leng Nuan picks up the milk tea and notices Qi Lang staring at her. Seeing this, Leng Nuan hurriedly returns the milk tea to Jiang Leilei and leaves with Li Chenyang.

At Pie Video, Meng Haotian is gaining more confidence in the short film. If the short film performs well after its release, she plans to officially start the series project. Fang Hui suggests signing multi-season contracts directly with Five Elements Media artists to bind them together. Meng Haotian believes that if they want to create a series in the future, they will need to win over more investors. She wants to involve Zhou Yu in the production and asks Fang Hui to negotiate with him, to which Fang Hui readily agrees.

In Shuangqiao, Maji invites Qiao Kuan and the others to have dinner together. In the evening, Leng Siming also joins the gathering. After a few rounds of drinks, Qiao Kuan asks Leng Siming what kind of robot he wants to create. Leng Siming says he wants to make a psychological companion robot that understands people and is not cold. Qiao Kuan agrees with Leng Siming's idea because giving robots life and emotions is what they want to achieve. He believes that artificial intelligence should have warmth. Seeing the other two technicians urging him to give it a try, Qiao Kuan suggests going to Lingdian to work next week, which makes Leng Siming very happy.

Leng Siming returns home and sees Meng Haotian busy working, so he has dinner alone in the living room. Suddenly, Leng Siming receives a call from Maji, saying that their neighbor is blocking her door again. Leng Siming tells Meng Haotian about it, and they go together to Maji's place. Upon arrival, Leng Siming drives away the man, and Meng Haotian suggests that Maji should not rely on Leng Siming next time and instead directly report to the police. Maji says the police are helpless as well, so she has considered moving out and asks Leng Siming if he knows of any available houses. Seeing this, Meng Haotian blocks Maji's view of Leng Siming and takes the initiative to help her find a house.

Zhou Yu thinks that the short film proposal and script sent by Fang Hui are excellent, so he contacts her. Fang Hui brings Zhou Yu to meet Meng Haotian. When Zhou Yu sees Meng Haotian, he exchanges only a few words before getting up to leave. Meng Haotian quickly calls him back, saying that she wants to discuss the possibility of joint production. Fang Hui believes that binding the three companies together can share the risks. Meng Haotian apologizes to Zhou Yu for the past incidents involving Lingzhi. Seeing this, Zhou Yu sits back down and discusses with them.

At Lingdian, Dreamjie is the only one who comes to the office instead of Qiao Kuan and the others. Dreamjie tells Leng Siming that they are only concerned with reality and not ideals, so they plan to invest in the technology. Yuan Wenbin tries to contact Shen Chunyi through messages and calls but cannot reach her. Wang Dawei informs Yuan Wenbin that Shuangqiao's team has signed a contract with Lingdian because their previous agreement was only verbal and cannot be enforced. Upon hearing this, Yuan Wenbin asks Wang Dawei to find a better team.

At night, Yuan Wenbin goes to Jimo Apartment to inquire about Shen Chunyi's whereabouts. At that moment, Shen Chunyi, who is resting outside, discovers that she is pregnant.

At Pie Video, Xiao Rui and Mrs. Zhou come to the studio. Zhou Yu is preparing to sign the contract when Mrs. Zhou stops him.
