Sweet Games Episode 18 Recap
> Sweet Games Recap
After no longer participating in "Black Sand Time," Yan Yue felt like there was always an hour in life when he had nothing to do, no stories to tell, and no listeners. His voice used to be his exclusive ticket to enter various corners of the world. But now, that VIP passageway was completely closed, and he felt like he couldn't go anywhere. Changing cities and lifestyles seemed futile. Nights of insomnia and absentmindedness seemed to have no end. Having once had something was far scarier than never having had it.
Upon his friends' insistence, Yan Yue eventually joined an animation studio. The studio's teammates were worried about the animation's development. When Yan Yue joined, it was as if a fresh breeze swept over them, smoothing out their furrowed brows. A young girl named Lin Ran seemed to have become Yan Yue's fan. Yan Yue's work capabilities were beyond doubt. He quickly grasped the rhythm of animation and smoothly completed a day of voice acting. However, the studio encountered a problem – the other two voice actors didn't show up at a crucial moment.
Upon hearing this news, Yan Yue couldn't help but think of An Ran. Perhaps An Ran's strength was supporting him. He volunteered and finished the remaining roles by himself. As it turned out, Yan Yue was indeed capable of doing so. Throughout the day, the studio's teammates praised Yan Yue endlessly, expressing deep gratitude for his timely help. Lin Ran, the young fan, seemed to be growing more enamored.
After everyone's collective effort, the animation was finally completed. They gathered for a meal and chat, and the atmosphere was harmonious. Suddenly, a girl asked if Yan Yue was popular among girls during college. Before Yan Yue could answer, an old classmate of his preemptively spoke up, bluntly stating that Yan Yue received so many love letters during that time that he could hardly hold them all. But at that time, Yan Yue always liked to be alone and often went to the library. Lin Ran interrupted the old classmate's words and inquired about Yan Yue's current situation. Yan Yue suddenly felt restless and excused himself, getting up to leave.
The pouring rain felt like a succession of sharp blades, striking Yan Yue's heart directly and making him feel breathless. His mind was engulfed by the spray of water mist, and he walked in the rain like a lifeless shell, allowing the raindrops to continuously hit his heart. As a woman with an umbrella passed by, perhaps due to excessive yearning or obscured vision caused by the mist, Yan Yue mistook her for An Ran. Seeing the face of a stranger, Yan Yue felt even worse, and his soul seemed to follow the distant figure of the unfamiliar woman, gradually fading away. Even Lin Ran's appearance couldn't snap him out of it.
Feeling bored, An Ran picked up a notebook and crossed out completed plans. But when her pen stopped at the 25th, she suddenly paused. Because on that day, she was supposed to have a date with Yan Yue. Her heart, which had finally calmed down after so many days of organizing, surged again at that moment. She felt short of breath and decided to change into clothes for a run.
While running, the breeze turned fierce, blowing past An Ran's ears forcefully. Beads of sweat fell without reservation, soaking through her clothes. An Ran took deep breaths, but Yan Yue's face kept coming to her mind. She ran harder, trying to let the sweat wash away these emotions. Yet, the faster she ran, the clearer those emotions became. Finally, she couldn't run anymore. She stopped, feeling the rhythm of nature. Following Yan Yue's habit, she raised her phone to capture the sound of nature in that moment.
Even though she was no longer with the company, An Ran still couldn't help but worry about everything there. Upon hearing that "The Fragments of Time Boyfriend" was under hacker attack, An Ran took immediate action. After careful consideration for several days, she suddenly thought that perhaps this was the first step in Peerless World's acquisition by Geishi Corporation.
