Third Uncle asked Dongni and Xijue to stay at home and take care of Nanyin, while he and Third Aunty went to talk to Su Yuanzhi's parents. In the restaurant, Third Uncle and Third Aunty confronted Su Yuanzhi's parents, and both sides were arrogant in their hearts, and they agreed to divorce. Nanyin expressed her love for Su Yuanzhi to Xijue and Dongni. Xijue criticized Nanyin, asking why she had to choose Su Yuanzhi when he had hurt her so badly before. Nanyin replied that she was like Xijue, still capable of loving those who had hurt her. Nanyin's words moved Xijue, and Dongni and Xijue released her.
When Third Uncle and Third Aunty returned home, they found that Nanyin had run away. They scolded Xijue and Dongni for being irresponsible, but Su Yuanzhi returned with Nanyin. Su Yuanzhi said that he and Nanyin truly loved each other, and before getting approval from Third Uncle and Third Aunty, he would not do anything to Nanyin. Su Yuanzhi's responsibility and restraint made Third Aunty look at him with new eyes.
The parents' attitudes changed, but they demanded that the two not publicly acknowledge their marriage during their college years, and they must focus on their studies. Nanyin and Su Yuanzhi left the restaurant and saw Xijue and Dongni waiting for them. Nanyin took Xijue and Dongni to a bar to celebrate her new marriage.
Dongni got drunk and called Fang Jinghui to mend their relationship. However, their conversation did not go well, and Dongni hung up disappointed.
