Zheng Xijue cleaned up the aftermath, while Zheng Dongni, who was drunk, asked her if she had disappointed everyone again. Seeing Dongni looking so dejected, Xijue told her that he supported her divorce, no matter how right Fang Jinghui was. Xijue encouraged Dongni to pull herself together as she was the mother of two children and had to be strong. Dongni understood that Xijue already knew about her situation and he told her not to say anything. It was not her fault and she had been strong enough over the years.
Su Yuanzhi suggested going to the movie theater for an all-night show, as they had nowhere else to go late at night. Nanyin fell asleep on Su Yuanzhi's lap and muttered before sleeping that they didn't want to be separated even if they had to sit by the roadside.
Xijue was worried about Jiang Yi, so he called her to arrange a meeting. Jiang Yi said she was already asleep. After hanging up, she found that she was sitting opposite Fang Jinghui at the hotel café. Fang Jinghui was venting her frustration to Jiang Yi.
At the school playground, during recess, Dongni found the boy who bullied her daughter Xuebi and made him write a promise never to bully her again.
Fang Jinghui secretly took the children from the hospital and prepared to fly to Germany from the airport. Dongni discovered that the children's birth certificates were missing. The family figured out how Fang Jinghui got hold of the birth certificates. Dongni went to investigate at the hotel where Fang Jinghui had stayed and saw through the surveillance footage that Jiang Yi had met with Fang Jinghui. Dongni concluded that Jiang Yi had helped Fang Jinghui steal the certificates.
