Zheng Xijue supported Zheng Dongni in opening a coffee shop. Dongni brought up Jiang Yi with Xijue, but he told her not to interfere with his relationship with Jiang Yi, which made Dongni feel sad. Three Aunty told Xijue that she had a good impression of Jiang Yi, but reminded him that dating takes time and effort. Meanwhile, Fang Jinghui's lawyer met with Dongni and informed her that Fang Jinghui was suing her for selling his patent without permission. The lawyer said that if Dongni gave her child to Fang Jinghui, he would not pursue legal action against her. Dongni went to ask Jiang Yi to accompany her to negotiate with Fang Jinghui, which was actually a plan to test her suspicions that Jiang Yi helped Fang Jinghui steal Zheng Chenggong's birth certificate. At Three Aunty's house, Dongni stayed with Zheng Nanyin for the night, and Nanyin couldn't help but inquire about Dongni's divorce case. Dongni, Jiang Yi, and Fang Jinghui went to the resort together. The resort manager, Pi Te, was the bar manager who took Dongni to Singapore years ago, and he gave them three of the best rooms.
