Zheng Xijue and Zheng Nanyin took Zhao Zhao to the countryside for a picnic. Seeing the mountains full of flowers, Zhao Zhao once again ignited her desire to live. She begged Zheng Xijue to help her delay the sentencing of Xu Hui, as she wanted to see her father one last time. Zheng Xijue had to promise her.
Zheng Xijue sought out Chen Yucheng and begged him to readmit Zhao Zhao to the hospital, but Chen Yucheng refused, saying that the hospital's beds were in short supply and had to be reserved for patients with hope. Zheng Xijue pleaded with Chen Yucheng, saying that Zhao Zhao only wanted to see her father one last time. However, Chen Yucheng mocked Zheng Xijue, saying that he was not Santa Claus.
Zheng Xijue had no choice but to look for another hospital, but the results were not ideal. He wanted to continue to find new treatments, but Zhao Zhao secretly went to see Xu Hui's lawyer without telling him. She asked the lawyer to transfer her medical records to Xu Hui, letting him know that her condition was incurable and to stop fighting. She asked Xu Hui to compensate the workers, which would be a way to repay Third Uncle's family's kindness.
