Tang Su returned to the set and the treatment she received was vastly different from before. From the director to the crew, everyone treated her like a star. The two actresses who used to follow Yu Mengmeng around even offered to be Tang Su's assistants. Although Tang Su politely declined, it couldn't stop Yu Mengmeng from feeling even more resentful towards her.
Huangfu Jue continued to push the perfect lover storyline and not only added more scenes for Tang Su, but also held a press conference to clear up the scandal that had caused her to be wrongly accused in the past. Tang Su was touched, but when she found out that Huangfu Jue had interfered with her work on set, she couldn't help but feel frustrated.
She protested to Huangfu Jue that she wanted an equal relationship, not to be treated like a canary, and that they needed to establish boundaries between their love and work.
Luo Shi brought Tang Su, Tong Yiwu, and Yu Mengmeng together to announce the restructuring of SSR, but all three of them opposed the idea. Luo Shi then targeted each of them individually, and Tong Yiwu, afraid of being influenced by him, pulled Tang Su away.
However, Tong Yiwu soon found herself in financial trouble. Tong's wife cut off her credit card to force her to comply, and the previous neglect of her career left her with no work or income to support herself. Although Tang Su provided for Tong Yiwu's living expenses, she knew that this was not a sustainable solution.
