Xie Shi saw Xu Mu walk out in a white dress and was stunned. Xu Mu asked if he could help her put on a necklace, as she had been struggling with it at home for a long time. Xie Shi took the necklace and helped her put it on. Xu Mu urged Xie Shi to hurry up so they wouldn't be late.
When they arrived at the restaurant, Xu Mu mentioned she was very nervous about meeting his family for the first time. Xie Shi told her not to worry and to just follow his lead. Xu Mu said she didn't want to follow him closely, or everyone's attention would be on her. So, Xie Shi suggested she go up first while he parked the car. As soon as Xu Mu arrived, she ran into Chen Xi.
Chen Xi asked how long she and Xie Shi had been together. Xu Mu told her it was almost their first anniversary. Chen Xi was furious, questioning how Xie Shi could like someone like Xu Mu. Xu Mu replied that she didn't know what type Xie Shi liked, but it definitely wasn't Chen Xi's type. This made Chen Xi's face turn green with anger, just as someone called her name.
Turning around, Xu Mu bumped into the man she had gone on a blind date with before. He asked if she was also here with a free ticket, explaining that everyone here was a big shot and he had pulled many strings to get in. Considering their past blind date, he offered to introduce her to some people, saying he was here for Jiang Zhou, the director of the company.
Xu Mu made an excuse to leave and called Song Niannian to tell her about it. Song Niannian said she had long noticed that Jiang Zhou was different from others. Just then, Jiang Zhou arrived after parking his car. Chen Xi, seeing Jiang Zhou standing beside Xu Mu, was displeased and went over to chat with Xu Mu's former blind date. His aunt felt that a girl who could make Xie Shi take the initiative must be extraordinary. Chen Xi pretended to let something slip and mentioned that Xu Mu was still going on blind dates last month. Xie Shi then said it was his fault, as he had been too busy with work and neglected Xu Mu's feelings.
He explained that he had returned to the country to reconnect with Xu Mu and confessed that he had liked her from the moment he first saw her but hadn't had the chance to express his feelings. Xu Mu knew Xie Shi was helping her out, but she didn't know he was speaking the truth. Later, Xie Shi and Xu Mu took a walk on the beach together.
Xu Mu received a call from her mother, who asked why she hadn't mentioned she was in a relationship and told her to bring her boyfriend home the next day. If Xu Mu wasn't in a relationship, her mother said she should continue with blind dates. Not wanting to go on blind dates, Xu Mu told her mother she was already in a relationship. Xie Shi overheard their conversation and proposed a solution.
