Jiang Ying saw Du Jingchuang come back and quickly forced her tears back. She took the initiative to walk towards Du Jingchuang and when he held her hand and asked about her allergy symptoms, she carefully rolled up the photo of Shen Xingzhi and herself when they were young and put it in her hand. Then she used the excuse of taking medicine to go downstairs to get water.
Du Xunyu took the initiative to greet Du Jingchuang. When Du Jingchuang asked him why he came back so early, Du Xunyu said that he was pestered by a girl and had just sent her away. Du Jingchuang noticed that Du Xunyu’s clothes seemed to be in disarray, so he opened his collar and found a lipstick mark on his shirt collar, which dispelled some of his suspicions.
Du Jingchuang was still uneasy, so he went to the study to check and saw that the marks he had made were intact and still suspicious.
In the morning, Jiang Ying and Du Xunyu sat opposite each other. Jiang Ying kept thinking that Du Xunyu was related to Shen Xingzhi and didn’t notice the servant pouring water. She accidentally burned herself. Du Xunyu naturally took out his handkerchief and let Jiang Ying wipe it off. Then, because they both reached for the candy at the same time, their hands touched. Du Xunyu looked up from the newspaper and pushed the candy towards Jiang Ying. Du Jingchuang looked at the interaction between Du Xunyu and Jiang Ying and couldn’t help but become more suspicious of their relationship.
Du Jingchuang suddenly announced during breakfast that he wanted to take Jiang Ying to visit the children at the Yongsheng Welfare Institute. Du Xunyu was worried that Du Jingchuang would discover Jiang Ying’s identity and take her away, so he suggested that he accompany Du Jingchuang instead. After all, it was more appropriate from an identity perspective. Du Jingchuang thought it made sense and decided that everyone should go together.
On the day they went out, Jiang Ying fell behind and her eyes always followed Du Xunyu. Qin Wanyi let Xiao Cui ride with her so Jiang Ying lost her seat. Du Jingchuang took the opportunity to arrange for Jiang Ying to sit with Du Xunyu.
On the way, Qin Wanyi took the initiative to lean on Du Jingchuang’s shoulder and lamented that the two of them hadn’t been out like this for a long time. When they were halfway there, Du Xunyu’s car suddenly broke down and they had to stop.
Qin Wanyi was worried that Jiang Ying would sit with them and take away Du Jingchuang’s attention, so she used the excuse that three people were too crowded and left Jiang Ying behind. Du Jingchuang had no choice but to let Jiang Ying fix the car with Du Xunyu before they could continue on their way.
Du Jingchuang’s car left first and Jiang Ying didn’t expect him to be so decisive. Du Xunyu began to fix the car. It was very hot today and Du Xunyu wiped his sweat while he worked. Jiang Ying saw this and got out of the car to take off her hat and fan Du Xunyu.
Du Xunyu felt a cool breeze and asked Jiang Ying if there was a breeze blowing. Jiang Ying quickly hid her hat behind her back, but Du Xunyu already knew that Jiang Ying was helping him fan himself, so he suggested that the wind blow more directly at him. Jiang Ying smiled and went up to him.
Du Jingchuang stood high up and saw Du Xunyu and Jiang Ying’s interaction through his binoculars, which made him change his expression.
