Liang Wujing led people to rush into the Du family and took Du Xunyu and Jiang Ying away. They tortured Du Xunyu and forced him to confess and reveal other members of the organization. In order to make Du Xunyu speak, Liang Wujing promised to hand over the business of Tang City to him as long as he cooperated.
Du Xunyu was already tortured and covered in blood, but he still refused to speak and even spat at Liang Wujing. Seeing that Du Xunyu was a tough nut to crack, Liang Wujing had Jiang Ying brought in and threatened to harm her with a knife.
Du Xunyu had to reveal that Du Jingchuang had a record with his crime in it in order to stop Liang Wujing from hurting Jiang Ying. Liang Wujing carefully observed their expressions and realized that the record must be real. He released Jiang Ying and warned her that if she did not bring the record to him within two hours, Du Xunyu would die.
Jiang Ying was reluctant to leave and struggled to stay, but Liang Wujing didn't have the patience to wait any longer and had three strong men take her away.
Jiang Ying struggled to go back, but the men were too strong for her. She was forced onto a car and taken back to the Du family. As they walked towards the house, the men kicked her when she refused to move quickly.
Suddenly, Dr. Li appeared and took down the three men. He was surprised to hear that Liang Wujing had captured Jiang Ying and Du Xunyu. They tied up the men and searched for the record everywhere but couldn't find it. Liang Wujing had only given them two hours.
Dr. Li checked the time and realized they only had half an hour left. Jiang Ying suddenly remembered that she had seen Qin Wanyi send someone to fix the clock but was stopped by Du Jingchuang, and that day Qin Wanyi had come back and asked why the clock was not fixed.
Jiang Ying suddenly remembered that she had seen Qin Wanyi ask someone to fix the clock, but was stopped by Du Jingchuang who happened to be coming downstairs. And when Qin Wanyi came back that day, she even asked why the clock wasn't fixed.
Jiang Ying approached the clock, opened the cover, removed the hands, and took out a record. The back of this record was actually the clock face, which was why it had never been discovered.
The time had come and Liang Rujing pulled out his gun, intending to kill Du Xunyu, but Jiang Ying arrived just in time. Liang Rujing took the record and played it on the gramophone, revealing the truth of what happened years ago.
It turned out that Jiang Yezhou had discovered that Liang Rujing was using Yong Sheng's freight to smuggle opium and immediately said that he would expose him to console the more than 100 lives lost. Du Jingchuang begged Jiang Yezhou to cooperate with Liang Rujing, but Jiang Yezhou refused, so Liang Rujing shot and killed Jiang Yezhou and had Du Jingchuang handle it.
Jiang Ying's mother rushed forward and, seeing her husband killed, tried to keep Du Jingchuang from leaving but was killed by him instead.
Liang Rujing destroyed the record and had someone pour diesel in the warehouse to burn Jiang Ying and Du Xunyu to death.
