Synopsis
In 1960, when the Chinese climbing team made their first assault on Everest, Fang Wuzhou, the temporary team leader, chose to save his companion Qu Songlin instead of protecting the camera in Qu Songlin's hands.
Although the Chinese team successfully summit from the North Face, a task considered impossible by the world of mountaineering, the feat was not internationally recognized because of the lack of 360-degree video footage taken around the summit.
In 1975, the Chinese climbing team regrouped in order to gain international recognition.
Fang Wuzhou and Qu Songlin, with the help of meteorologist Xu Ying, led Li Guoliang, Yang Guang, and other young members of the team to challenge the top of the world again.
What greeted them would be a harsher reality and a challenge of life.
