It suddenly started pouring rain in the sky, and the villagers ran in all directions. A child sat in front of a restaurant, and the owner warned him not to run around, then got busy with the work inside. At this time, Jiu Xuanye was sitting in the restaurant, having eaten all afternoon, and people were gossiping about him, never having seen someone eat so much. At that moment, a woman dressed in extravagant clothes entered the restaurant, holding an umbrella.

She was the one who sang here. Jiu Xuanye furrowed his brow, feeling that something was off. The owner suddenly realized that his son, who had been squatting by the door, was gone. In a critical moment, Jiu Xuanye and Chi Xue arrived, interrupting the couple’s wedding night. Jiu Xuanye pointed out that Duan Yanqiu had married a demon, but Duan Yanqiu didn’t believe it and led people to chase after Jiu Xuanye. Duan Ban Xia saw all of this. Duan Yanqiu didn’t believe that his wife was a demon, and Duan Ban Xia, filled with fear, reminded him that Man Niang might be a demon.

But Duan Yanqiu didn’t believe her and told Duan Ban Xia not to speak nonsense. He also told her not to meet Man Niang today. After the events of yesterday, Man Niang had been frightened, and Duan Ban Xia reluctantly agreed. Back in her room, Duan Ban Xia saw a spotted ray fish floating in the room. She was so frightened that she was about to leave when Jiu Xuanye appeared inside the room.

He told Duan Ban Xia that he was a demon hunter and knew that she could see things others couldn’t. He hoped she would tell Duan Yanqiu the truth: his wife, Man Niang, was a demon. He also asked her to bring some food after leaving. Duan Ban Xia agreed on the surface, but once outside, she shouted and exposed the matter of the thief hiding in the room. Helpless, Jiu Xuanye had to leave.

But on the street, Jiu Xuanye reappeared around Duan Ban Xia. She felt uneasy and learned from Ting Zhou that Duan Yanqiu had fallen in love with Man Niang at first sight after hearing her vocal imitation performance. To understand the situation, Duan Ban Xia decided to meet Man Niang. Man Niang expressed her sorrow, saying that she had never known warmth until she met Duan Yanqiu, who gave her a home.

She knew everyone disliked her, but she truly wanted to spend her life with Duan Yanqiu. Man Niang deliberately got close to Duan Ban Xia and spoke with great fondness for her, caressing her face and throat. She thought such a woman would be acceptable to any man, but her eyes revealed a greedy desire for the throat. Scared, Duan Ban Xia quickly stood up to leave, but accidentally pushed the window open.

As sunlight streamed in, Duan Ban Xia saw a pair of huge wings, and in fear, she rushed out of the room. Afterward, Duan Ban Xia went to find Jiu Xuanye. He told her that she had an extraordinary gift, able to see things that others could not. He also noticed a fragrance on her, which, while temporarily calming, could make one’s mind dull.

Jiu Xuanye informed Duan Ban Xia that there was another wedding in the forest today, but because she had used the calming fragrance, she couldn’t see it. He felt this was wasting her senses, so he used a potion to help her see, and she was able to spot a group of people in red clothes approaching.
