> The Demon Hunter's Romance Recap

When Jiu Xuanye woke up, he found himself in a strange world. Several men were calling him “Big Brother. ” Jiu Xuanye remembered having seen this person before—it was one of the Xiangshan brothers. In this world, however, everyone who saw Jiu Xuanye called him “Da Mao. ” Jiu Xuanye was a little dazed. He walked out onto the street to look around, and although the faces were unfamiliar, people still called him “Da Mao.

” Suddenly, he noticed that his tattoos had become real objects. On the street, two people were arguing, and the things they threw turned into ink, making Jiu Xuanye suspect that he might be inside a painting created by a demon. At that moment, Xiangshan and a few brothers caught up with him, insisting that Jiu Xuanye help carry the bridal sedan chair for the wedding that day.

Jiu Xuanye tried to resist but found he had no strength and had no choice but to let them take him to help carry the sedan chair. As the bride was getting into the sedan, she almost fell, and Jiu Xuanye instinctively reached out to support her, feeling a strange sensation in his heart. Halfway through the journey, they encountered a funeral procession and had to stop and rest.

Jiu Xuanye took the opportunity to ask the bride to get down and rest for a while, deliberately stating his name as Jiu Xuanye. However, the matchmaker scolded him loudly. After getting off the sedan, the bride asked the matchmaker what Jiu Xuanye had just said, but the matchmaker didn’t tell her, assuming he was just causing trouble.

During the wedding ceremony, the persistent Jiu Xuanye barged in and lifted the red veil from the bride’s head, confirming that it was indeed Duan Banxia. But before he could say anything, he was caught and taken away. The Xiangshan brothers realized that Da Mao was missing and, hearing someone say a sedan bearer had been arrested, quickly searched around. They eventually found Jiu Xuanye locked up in the woodshed and rescued him. But Jiu Xuanye refused to leave.

Taking advantage of the night, he once again came to the door of the bride’s room. Inside, Duan Banxia was feeling down. Her maid went to fetch food, giving Jiu Xuanye the chance to enter. But Duan Banxia didn’t recognize him at all and angrily drove him out. Jiu Xuanye tried to remind her that this was a painting and that everyone except him was fake. Everything was fake. He wanted to save her.

At that moment, the groom, Chu Youhuang, came into the room, assuming Jiu Xuanye was a lecher and not listening to any explanation. He threw a punch, and just then, fireworks lit up the sky. When Jiu Xuanye woke up again, he had returned to the moment he first entered the painting. Several brothers stood before him, saying the same lines as before. As Jiu Xuanye walked out, everyone he met repeated the same lines.

The Xiangshan brothers soon came looking for him again, trying to persuade him to finish the job first. Knowing they would try to carry him off again, Jiu Xuanye faked them out and ran away. Jiu Xuanye went to the house where the wedding was to take place and found Chu Youhuang, revealing his true identity and explaining in detail that they were inside a painting.

Chu Youhuang’s real surname wasn’t Huang, but he was actually a constable from Guangping City. The bride and the three sedan bearers didn’t belong in the painting. But Chu Youhuang didn’t believe a word of it. Frustrated, Jiu Xuanye smashed the items in Chu Youhuang’s room. Seeing the ink stains on the ground, he reminded Chu Youhuang that everything here was fake—once broken, things returned to their original form.

But Chu Youhuang still didn’t believe him and ordered Jiu Xuanye’s arrest. Meanwhile, Duan Banxia had already started the wedding ceremony with Chu Youhuang. Jiu Xuanye was locked up again. Watching the fireworks outside, he began to count down. As expected, he woke up once more and resumed everything from before.

This time, Jiu Xuanye used his “Big Brother” status to persuade the three brothers to help, claiming he had met a girl—Miss He from the martial arts school—who just happened to be the bride they were to carry. Xiangshan warned him that the groom was powerful and that they shouldn’t steal someone’s bride. But Jiu Xuanye pressured them into going along with the kidnapping, and the three reluctantly agreed. Halfway through carrying the sedan chair, they again encountered the funeral procession.

At Jiu Xuanye’s signal, the four brothers ran off with the sedan. Chu Youhuang immediately mounted a horse to give chase. The bride was jolted about in the sedan, furious that the four would dare to snatch a bride in broad daylight, calling them reckless. Jiu Xuanye didn’t have time to explain. The four of them dashed away and brought Duan Banxia back to their place. Xiangshan even thoughtfully closed the door for them.

Jiu Xuanye seriously explained everything to Duan Banxia—that they were trapped inside a painting drawn by a demon. Although it sounded unbelievable and Duan Banxia felt she shouldn’t trust him, something inside told her she should. She thought that even if she remembered everything, they might still not be able to escape. Jiu Xuanye guessed that her parents must also be inside the painting and that finding them might be the key to getting out.

Duan Banxia pretended to believe him but knocked him out when he went to get food for her. Jiu Xuanye woke up again, returning once more to the beginning. This time, he didn’t waste words and immediately asked the brothers to help snatch the bride. The kidnapping succeeded again. Chu Youhuang was furious, sending people out to search and thinking that perhaps he had offended too many people and someone was taking the chance to get revenge on his bride.

This time, before Duan Banxia could wake up, Jiu Xuanye had already thrown all the bricks from the room outside, preparing in case she tried to ambush him again.
