The new producer, Peter Liu, chaired the first meeting of the "Building Chronicles" season, and Su Ying presented her plan. However, Peter Liu didn't quite agree and was concerned that mere repairs might affect the house's on-screen appeal. He wanted a major overhaul. Su Ying explained her reasons and refused the major changes. Peter Liu then tried to dig into Qin Yunsheng's privacy, asking if repairing the glass house was for Mi Su. Qin Yunsheng brushed it off. Peter Liu also proposed turning the sixth season into a love memoir for Qin Yunsheng and Mi Su, which made Qin Yunsheng uncomfortable. Su Ying stood up for Qin Yunsheng and rejected the idea. Despite this, Peter Liu continued to push and wanted to include Su Ying in the publicity. Su Ying interrupted him and insisted that they couldn't exploit events from six years ago, or she would quit.

In the car, Su Ying asked Qin Yunsheng about the regret he mentioned earlier. Qin Yunsheng revealed that he wanted to see a rainbow in the glass house every day. Su Ying promised to do her best to fulfill his wish, and Qin Yunsheng joked that he was just kidding. They both laughed. Qin Yunsheng dropped Su Ying off at the studio and asked her if the new intern, Cai Chen, who graduated from visual communication, knew how to create rainbows in the house. He also asked Cai Chen to submit a plan before 3 PM. Cai Chen agreed and used a colorful USB drive that emitted colored lights to inspire Su Ying.

Su Ying and Qin Yunsheng visited a lighting market, where Su Ying introduced several lighting options, but Qin Yunsheng was not satisfied, saying they were just lights. Su Ying understood his thoughts and promised to come up with other ideas. However, a short circuit caused a blackout in the house. Su Ying screamed, and Qin Yunsheng asked if she was scared. She denied it, and when Qin Yunsheng tried to get help, she held him back. Eventually, motion sensor lights turned on, and they decided to wait for help. To pass the time, Qin Yunsheng told a ghost story, which scared Su Ying. He laughed, and just then, someone arrived with the lights. Su Ying was ready to leave, and Qin Yunsheng gave her his coat to cover her stained dress, which she thanked him for. Back at home, Su Ying took good care of her tulips and shared it on her social media.

At the hospital, Zhang Yisen was curious, and Qin Yunsheng explained what happened that evening.

The next day, Su Ying placed voice-activated lights on her desk and Cai Chen explained what happened the previous day, even trying to take credit. Su Ying couldn't stand it and asked him to leave with a smile. Su Ying went to the hospital to return Qin Yunsheng's coat, and he hadn't eaten yet. She offered to buy him lunch at the hospital cafeteria, and he agreed. Zhang Yisen noticed them and sat next to them, pretending not to know Su Ying. Qin Yunsheng introduced Su Ying, and Zhang Yisen introduced himself. He tried to impress Su Ying by offering her a dumpling, which she reluctantly bit into. The soup splashed onto Qin Yunsheng's white coat, and Zhang Yisen's soup stained Su Ying's clothes. Zhang Yisen left to get napkins, and Qin Yunsheng suggested that Su Ying go to his dorm to change her clothes. When Zhang Yisen returned, he found no one in their seats. Qin Yunsheng went to Zhang Yisen's room to change, and Su Ying saw a photo of Qin Yunsheng and Mi Su on his desk.

Su Ying was troubled by the absence of a rainbow, but colorful stones on the table inspired her. In the office, Su Ying saw a maliciously edited preview of the show, which portrayed Qin Yunsheng as dissatisfied with her design. Now, internet users believe that Su Ying is an unscrupulous designer. Qin Yunsheng also saw the teaser. Du Huixuan confronted Peter Liu and had a heated argument with him. She was upset and left. Qin Yunsheng read an article stating that the glass house was completed in just a month and a half. He went to see Du Huixuan, who apologized to him. Qin Yunsheng asked about what happened six years ago and wanted to see the interview from that time. He learned that Su Ying had another reason for choosing glass: she wanted to fulfill the owners' wishes in the shortest time possible, to leave no regrets. To protect Mi Su, Su Ying asked Du Huixuan to cut her interview about time. Qin Yunsheng discovered the whole truth and was deeply moved.
