Tian Mei has her own ambitions; she wants to open her own studio and defeat Su Ying. However, she struggles with the design for the hospital and, in order to win against Su Ying, sneaks into Su Ying's studio one night to examine the computer for design ideas and understand Su Ying's design approach.

After returning to the studio that night, Su Ying is still preoccupied with Qin Yunsheng's deception during the day. Unaware that her belongings have been tampered with, Qin Yunsheng comes to the studio later that night, sees Su Ying alone, and is concerned. He calls Xu Mingshi to inquire about the design plans. Learning that Su Ying is alone in the studio, Xu Mingshi gathers everyone and returns to the studio. Su Ying, initially in a gloomy mood, becomes happy upon seeing everyone.

The next day, the formal design competition begins. Su Ying, accompanied by Xu Mingshi, arrives at the hospital. To their surprise, the opposing designer is Tian Mei. Su Ying is shocked to find out that her competitor is her own employee. Even more surprising is that Tian Mei's design is quite similar to Su Ying's. Xu Mingshi and Su Ying understand that Tian Mei has likely copied their studio's design. Xu Mingshi stands up to question Tian Mei, but she denies the accusation. Su Ying, relying on her professional competence, modifies her design, showing that Tian Mei's plan needs significant optimization. Su Ying had a perfect plan in mind all along, not fully revealed in her original design.

Originally, the hospital's inspection team was not interested in Su Ying's design, but Mi Bai leans towards Tian Mei. It is suggested that Su Ying might have copied Tian Mei's design, leading to a second round of the competition, which Su Ying reluctantly agrees to. Afterward, Su Ying and Xu Mingshi question Tian Mei about her betrayal of the studio, but Tian Mei staunchly denies any wrongdoing. The confrontation escalates, and Su Ying, fatigued from days of work, collapses in the hospital corridor and receives intravenous therapy.

To avoid delaying the studio's progress, Su Ying asks Xu Mingshi to leave. She intends to have Qin Yunsheng accompany her, but at that moment, Qin Yunsheng's mother, who is undergoing surgery, is surrounded by friends playing badminton and is unable to answer her phone. Mi Bai answers Su Ying's call and, upon hearing Mi Bai's voice, Su Ying becomes angry. Su Ying wants to talk to Qin Yunsheng, but Mi Bai falsely claims that everyone is busy and prevents Su Ying from speaking to him. This infuriates Su Ying.

Eventually, Dr. Zhao agrees to operate on Su Ying's mother. Qin Yunsheng inquires about Su Ying's design plans, but Mi Bai does not tell him the truth. When Qin Yunsheng sees Su Ying's call, he answers it, and Su Ying asks about his whereabouts. Qin Yunsheng, unable to disclose his situation, takes advantage of Mi Bai's fake stumble to excuse himself. Su Ying, feeling tired and emotionally strained from recent setbacks, is further upset to find out that Qin Yunsheng is not by her side when she needs him the most. Instead, he is with her rival. Misunderstanding the situation, Su Ying becomes angry, ignores Qin Yunsheng's explanation, and leaves in her car.

Distraught over her mother's collapse, Su Ying rushes to the hospital and learns about her mother's condition. Discovering that Qin Yunsheng had kept the truth from her, Su Ying, enraged, decides to break up with him.
