Later, Cao Xuanxuan showed He Chun the doll she had found, explaining that the mastermind was deliberately showing off to her. She didn’t want to burden Guo Zijie, who was already dealing with too much, so she decided to face the challenge alone. When Sun Weiyan woke up, he found himself in Guo Zijie’s home. Feeling ashamed, he tried to sneak away. Meanwhile, Guo Zijie returned home and realized Cao Xuanxuan hadn’t come back yet.
He waited in the courtyard until she returned, pretending he hadn’t been waiting. Cao Xuanxuan found him there and made an excuse, but Guo Zijie had already learned the truth. He also discovered that the mastermind and Cao Xuanxuan came from the same place and misunderstood that Cao Xuanxuan wanted to find that person to leave with them. Afraid of losing her, Guo Zijie confessed his feelings, subtly admitting he liked the current version of Cao Xuanxuan.
He assured her he would support her no matter what decision she made. Cao Xuanxuan, worried that Guo Zijie would be concerned about her leaving, admitted that she was willing to stay for him and no longer wanted to return to her time. Hearing this, Guo Zijie kissed her, and Cao Xuanxuan didn’t resist; instead, she responded warmly. The two embraced each other deeply.
