> The Inextricable Destiny Recap

Rong Yu, accompanied by Zhan Ping, came to the side courtyard. However, Cheng Bi blocked their entry, and Jiuling had not left the medicine room for several days. Rong Yu was deeply concerned but received no understanding from Cheng Bi. After hearing Jiuling call for Cheng Bi to enter, Rong Yu left in disappointment. Inside, Cheng Bi handed Jiuling a letter from her senior martial brother. In the letter, he expressed his worry about Jiuling and said that if she ever felt tired, he would unconditionally support her, just like when they were on Wuhua Mountain. Jiuling recalled the playful and carefree moments she shared with her senior martial brother, and a smile appeared on her face.

Rong Jiong called a physician to check Rong Yu's condition, but the physician couldn't decisively assess Rong Yu's recovery. They could only confirm that he was gradually improving. Princess Chu Chu of Xuanyuan came to visit the Rong residence. She openly stated that her purpose in coming to the capital was to find a husband. While she was speaking, Rong Yu returned from studying at the Astrology Pavilion. The princess was pleased to see him. Rong Jiong invited her to stay for a meal, but Rong Yu only exchanged a brief greeting and left.

Using the immortal vine herb, Jiuling prepared an antidote for Rong Yu. She had Zhan Ping deliver it to him. Zhan Ping knew that Rong Yu had already recovered, but Rong Yu wanted to get his own water to take the antidote. Sensing Jiuling's growing indifference, Rong Yu asked her what was happening and why she had suddenly changed. Jiuling asked him if he would still treat her the same way if she did something to wrong him one day. Just then, a servant came to report that the princess wanted to see Rong Yu, but Rong Yu refused to meet her. When the princess arrived at the courtyard, she encountered Jiuling. She condescendingly ordered Jiuling around, even belittling her as a servant. Zhan Ping quickly stepped in and introduced Jiuling as the wife of their pavilion's head, saying that their young master was resting. The princess, visibly displeased, turned and left.

Cheng Bi informed Jiuling that the Emperor had granted permission for Rong Yu and the princess to perform together at the Empress Dowager's banquet. Jiuling wasn't concerned and commented that she would eventually leave Rong Yu, and if someone else could care for him, it would be a good thing. Her focus was on implementing the next part of her plan, as they couldn't afford to wait any longer. The Crown Prince arrived at the palace in Xun Nan, loudly protesting that his sister had come for a marriage alliance and not to be treated as a prisoner. He feared that their actions might provoke the Jia Lin forces to encroach upon their city. Xun Nan was never afraid of any enemy, and the Crown Prince was advised to leave to avoid causing further trouble. Meanwhile, the King of Xun Nan himself traveled to the Jia Lin capital in haste after receiving a letter from Jiuling, stating that she missed him.

The princess heard from her servants that the Emperor had granted permission for Rong Yu and her to perform at the Empress Dowager's banquet. Delighted, she eagerly sought to spar with Rong Yu. However, he remained distant. Jiuling watched Rong Yu take the antidote, and Cheng Bi approached her. Jiuling, full of worry, rushed to the post station. After the meeting with her senior martial brother, she confided in him about the situation at the Astrology Pavilion. Her senior martial brother said that the pavilion was indeed no mere reputation; it possessed genuine abilities. Jiuling decided that after Rong Yu was completely healed, she would go and investigate the Astrology Pavilion. Concerned that Jiuling might be exposed, her senior martial brother decided to send his people to gather information first, and once everything was clear, Jiuling could proceed. When the time grew late, Jiuling bid her senior martial brother farewell, as she was anxious to see how Rong Yu would react to the antidote.

Her senior martial brother escorted Jiuling outside. Rong Yu and Zhan Ping, who had been watching them, were deeply saddened. Rong Yu dreamt of the past and recalled Jiuling's unwillingness to marry him. When he woke up, he decided to tell Jiuling and Rong Jiong about his awakening. Rong Jiong was overjoyed upon hearing the news and wanted to make a grand announcement. However, Rong Yu felt that it wasn't essential for others to know. He had now experienced the warmth and coldness of human nature and didn't want the fuss. Nevertheless, Rong Jiong insisted on holding a small gathering at the Astrology Pavilion. After Jiuling heard that Rong Yu had woken up, she happily went to see him. Rong Yu first sincerely thanked Jiuling and then told her that their marriage was unofficial, as it lacked the traditional ceremonies. After the Empress Dowager's banquet, they would separate. Jiuling, in tears, agreed. Zhan Ping saw Rong Yu's actions and was at a loss.

When Rong Jiong learned of Rong Yu's awakening, he was relieved. He instructed the servants to accompany the princess more often. Jiuling visited her senior martial brother, who shared the information he had gathered. Seeing that the intelligence wasn't helpful, Jiuling decided to investigate the matter personally. She informed her senior martial brother that Rong Yu was ready to separate from her, even though she loved him.
