Shu Yanan was about to go find Yun Xiang when she suddenly saw Mo Bufan hurriedly leaving with him. While waiting for the Sect Master's summons again, Yun Xiang recalled Wen Cong's advice to him, "Use wisdom as your foundation and intelligence as your body." It was only now that he fully understood the meaning behind it.

As Wen Cong said, the phrase "mindset" has the character "heart" before "technique," so one must have a pure heart and righteous spirit. Afterwards, Yun Xiang deliberately sent Shu Yanan away and personally approached Jin Biao to try to trick him into gambling. Shu Yanan appeared in time to expose his plot. Jin Biao suddenly realized the truth. He heard that Yun Xiang urgently needed money, so he immediately took out all of his capital, but asked Yun Xiang to pay back ten times the amount. Just then, Kang Qiao arrived with a rescued girl named Ling'er at the Liansheng District.

Jin Biao was grateful, but when he heard Kang Qiao say that most of the children had been trafficked and their whereabouts were unknown, he felt sad. It was precisely because he was concerned about the safety of the children that Jin Biao lowered the promised interest rate from ten percent to three percent, and pleaded with Yun Xiang and Kang Qiao to help find the other children as soon as possible.

Qian Rong was planning to help Ke Menglan leave her lowly status, but he unexpectedly found out that someone had already taken her documents from the registration office. Su Huairou advised Qian Rong not to spread the news, especially to keep it secret from Su Mingyu. Soon after, Su Huairou brought Su Mingyu to reveal to him all that Yun Xiang had done and reminded him to treat Yun Xiang honestly in the future, in order to ensure the safety of the Su family.

Just as Qi Tianfeng's injuries were improving and he was preparing to lead his brothers to seek revenge in Bashu, Guan Hai, suddenly arrived and killed all of his brothers, including Ding Yi. Because Qi Tianfeng was old and his martial arts skills were completely destroyed, Guan Hai did not kill him but set fire to the place before leaving. Qi Tianfeng, devastated by the death of his brothers, made a solemn vow to make Tang Xiao pay for his blood debts and left while dragging his sick body.
