The Land of Warriors Episode 20 Recap
> The Land of Warriors Recap
Xiao Wu accepted Tang San's proposal, promising to be with him for all eternity, through every season and every cycle of life. Xiao Wu thanked Tang San for giving her a home, while Tang San expressed his gratitude for her willingness to become his family. He admitted that he had once resented life for its hardships, but meeting Xiao Wu made him realize she was his greatest blessing.
Tang San and Xiao Wu were attacked by spirit beasts and forced to flee the valley. Although Tang San managed to defeat the beasts, he sustained internal injuries. Unfortunately, their movements were detected by Spirit Hall. Spirit Hall demanded that Tang San hand over Xiao Wu.
Despite being low on spirit power and having to face Spirit Saints, Tang San resolved to fight to the death to protect Xiao Wu, hoping to buy enough time for Da Ming and Er Ming to escape and ensure Xiao Wu's safety. Tang San sealed Xiao Wu's spirit power and stepped forward to face the Spirit Hall spirit masters alone. He was severely beaten but refused to give up on protecting Xiao Wu.
In a desperate move, Tang San forcibly removed his own spirit bone, which had a flying ability, and handed it to Xiao Wu, urging her to escape. Xiao Wu, witnessing Tang San's willingness to sacrifice himself, could not bear to let him die. She made the painful decision to offer herself as a sacrifice. Xiao Wu sacrificed both her body and soul to Tang San, allowing him to absorb her spirit ring completely without any limitations.
However, this extreme method of sacrifice meant she would die and her soul would disperse, leaving nothing behind. When Da Ming and Er Ming arrived and saw Xiao Wu's self-sacrifice, they asked her if it was worth it. Without hesitation, Xiao Wu declared it was worth it, as she could not live without Tang San.
Hu Liena, witnessing Tang San’s willingness to give up his life for Xiao Wu and Xiao Wu’s decision to burn her own life for him, was deeply moved by the love between them. Realizing it was impossible to capture Xiao Wu, Spirit Hall abandoned their mission and left the Star Dou Forest. When Tang San woke up, he found Xiao Wu in her Soft-Boned Rabbit spirit beast form lying on the ground.
Overwhelmed with grief, he learned from Da Ming and Er Ming that Xiao Wu had completely sacrificed herself—both her body and soul—so that he could absorb her spirit bone and 100,000-year spirit ring. Even if Xiao Wu woke up, she would no longer have her consciousness. Remembering the legendary Yearning Heartbroken Red flower, which could revive the dead and restore flesh and bones, Tang San fed it to Xiao Wu.
Tang San refused to eat or drink as he kept vigil by Xiao Wu's side. Da Ming and Er Ming tried to persuade him to take care of himself, reminding him that Xiao Wu had exchanged her life for his and that he needed to live well for her sake. While Xiao Wu's physical body was revived, her consciousness remained absent.
Tang San asked Da Ming and Er Ming if they knew a way to bring her fully back to life.
Da Ming explained that three items were required: first, a 10,000-year-old Sacred Soul Herb to awaken her consciousness, which they could help find in the Star Dou Forest; second, a treasure that could reshape her human form—the 10,000-Year Nine-Rank Ginseng King, which could be sought in the northern forests; and third, an ancient spirit beast's inner core to merge her body and consciousness.
Tang San revealed that he already had the inner core of the Ten-Headed Fiery Sun Snake, prompting Er Ming to marvel at his extraordinary luck. Tang San vowed to reach the Title Douluo level as soon as possible and find the Nine-Rank Ginseng King to save Xiao Wu.
Da Ming reminded him of one more critical step: Tang San would have to return Xiao Wu's sacrificed spirit bone and spirit ring, as well as give her all nine of his Title Douluo-level spirit rings. Only then could Xiao Wu regain her cultivation and be fully revived. However, this would leave Tang San as a cripple, possibly costing him his life.
Tang San declared that Xiao Wu had given everything for him, and he was willing to do the same for her. He swore to bring Xiao Wu back to life and never part from her again. Tang San sought revenge for Xiao Wu by killing the Man-Faced Demon Spider, absorbing its 30,000-year cultivation. To his surprise, his spirit power advanced to level 66.
Meanwhile, Yu Xiaogang continued training the Spirit Master Legion using his own methods, while General Ge Long watched from the sidelines, shaking his head in disapproval.
