The Land of Warriors Episode 23 Recap
> The Land of Warriors Recap
The Shrek Seven Devils reunited after five years, gathering to eat and chat. Tang San couldn’t help but feel sad when he saw the empty seat meant for Xiao Wu. Overwhelmed by emotion, he left the room to sit in the courtyard, imagining he was drinking with Xiao Wu. Xiao Wu appeared in his thoughts and urged him not to dwell too much on his sadness.
Tang San confessed that he couldn’t feel happy, as his mind was consumed with thoughts of how to strengthen the Tang Sect and bring Xiao Wu back to life. Xiao Wu reassured him that these goals could be pursued slowly and didn’t conflict with his ability to find joy. The principal of Shrek Academy suggested to Tang San that many talented junior students at the academy hadn’t joined any sects yet, and he could recruit them into the Tang Sect.
Tang San thanked the principal for his support and shared his plan to bring the four clans once affiliated with the Clear Sky Clan under his banner. However, he acknowledged that the four clans harbored deep resentment toward the Clear Sky Clan because of Spirit Hall, so winning them over wouldn’t be easy. Tang San sought out his aunt to tell her about his relationship with Xiao Wu.
She expressed her full support for his plan to establish a new sect but was skeptical about his efforts to recruit the four clans. She suggested that he focus on recruiting other capable individuals instead, offering her help in that regard. As for the four clans, she, being a member of the Clear Sky Clan and Tang Hao’s sister, believed they wouldn’t even let her in before chasing her away.
Tang San clarified that he wasn’t asking her to persuade the clans but simply wanted to understand more about them. His aunt explained that the four clans with single attributes consisted of the Strength Clan, Defense Clan, Speed Clan, and Breaking Clan. The Strength Clan specialized in forging and was known for their immense physical strength, making them formidable assault-type Soul Douluo. Their clan leader, Titan, was the vice president of the Blacksmiths’ Association.
Tang Hao admired his forging skills, and Titan deeply respected Tang Hao. If Tang San wanted to start with any clan, the Strength Clan would be the most likely to agree. The Defense Clan was skilled in construction, especially defensive structures. Their leader, Niu Gao, was a defense-type Soul Douluo with a strong sense of loyalty and animosity, harboring deep resentment toward Tang Hao because of Spirit Hall.
The Speed Clan specialized in reconnaissance and consisted of pure agility-type Soul Masters. Their current leader was Tang Hao’s uncle and thus Tang San’s great-uncle, but they had lost contact since the Clear Sky Clan chose to go into seclusion. The Speed Clan had also faced hardship over the years. The Breaking Clan was adept at making medicine. Their leader, Yang Wudi, was deeply obsessed with his craft and had suffered the most severe persecution from Spirit Hall.
After leaving the Clear Sky Clan, the Strength Clan had fallen into poverty. They could no longer make ends meet, and Titan used his life savings to help the clan members. He told them to take the money and go their separate ways, but the clan members refused to leave him. Tang San and his group visited the Strength Clan. From his aunt, Tang San had learned that Titan was a man of his word.
Years ago, he voluntarily left the Clear Sky Clan when Tang Hao was expelled, as he couldn’t accept the decision. Titan’s greatest weakness was his loyalty to Tang Hao. Tang San invited Titan to join the Tang Sect. Titan, recalling the Strength Clan’s old vow to serve Tang Hao, agreed but requested a promise from Tang San: if the Tang Sect ever merged with the Clear Sky Clan, he would be allowed to leave.
Tang San assured him that the Tang Sect would not merge with any sect, putting Titan at ease. Although the Strength Clan agreed to join the Tang Sect, they refused to forge hidden weapons, citing an old vow to never create weapons again. Tang San brought Titan to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan to craft prosthetics for the injured. One of the patients told Titan that he owed his life to the Tang Sect’s hidden weapons.
Titan realized that weapons were neutral tools; their morality depended on how they were used. With this understanding, Titan agreed to forge hidden weapons for the Tang Sect. Titan pointed out that creating such a large batch of hidden weapons would require additional materials, which they would need to purchase from Gengxin City. However, Tang San emphasized that the more pressing matter was to win over the other three clans, a task that would require Titan’s help. Together, Tang San, Titan, and the group set out for Longxing City, which was currently under the control of the Elephant Armored Clan.
