Xing Zhi searched every corner of the Eastern Sea but ultimately did not find Shen Li. He only found a torn piece of red clothing, indicating that Shen Li had indeed met with misfortune. Xing Zhi’s heart felt as if it were being torn apart. Once, they had been able to be together, but he had suppressed his feelings, believing he bore the responsibility of safeguarding the Three Realms.

Yet when he truly lost her, he realized how deeply it hurt. If he could not even save the one he loved, how could he care for the world? Scene after scene of the past flashed before his eyes. He remembered that in the Immortal Realm, Shen Li had joked that ever since she met Xing Zhi, she always got injured in battles. The Heavenly Lord, hearing that Xing Zhi was acting for Shen Li’s sake, could only helplessly advise him to calm down. However, the people of the Spirit Realm surrounded You Lan, preparing to seek justice for Shen Li.

For generations, their Spirit Realm had guarded the Immortal Realm’s artifacts without complaint. Now that the King of Bicao had sacrificed herself, they could not accept this outcome and cared nothing for the spirit stones. Hearing the commotion outside, the Spirit Lord ordered her subordinates to calm the emotions of the Spirit Realm’s people. They had suffered heavy losses and now was the critical moment when they needed spirit stones, so they could not act emotionally.

After dismissing the guards, the Spirit Lord recalled raising Shen Li from a young age. Tears poured from her eyes. Though they were master and disciple, their bond was no less than that of mother and daughter.
