Mu Zhuohua and Shen Jinghong had finished drinking at the Xiaoqin Palace and were preparing to leave. Shen Jinghong offered to escort her home, but Mu Zhuohua saw Zhi Jian and Zhi Mo waiting not far away. She declined Shen Jinghong's offer and walked toward Liu Yan's carriage. Mu Zhuohua asked Liu Yan what he meant by calling her "rotten peach blossoms." Liu Yan replied that she should interpret it herself, and Mu Zhuohua felt that Liu Yan was referring to himself as her peach blossom, indicating that he was interested in her. Just then, the carriage hit a stone, causing Mu Zhuohua to fall into Liu Yan's arms, and it triggered his memory of kissing her while drunk at the hunting ground.
