Wanwan recounted the story of how she killed Lord Jiang, and it matched Jiang Li's speculation. She first drugged Lord Jiang and then hammered a red-hot iron nail into his head. At this point, she added with bitterness that since he liked vengeful ghost killings so much, she fulfilled his desire by killing him. After his death, she dressed him in red clothes and red shoes and then hanged him.
Wanwan believed that Lord Jiang's embezzlement of relief funds from the court made him deserving of his fate. However, Li Canglang believed that, regardless of her reasons, taking a life was unjustifiable.
