Bai Xuelu and Bai Xueying, two sisters, entered the palace to attend a banquet. Upon learning about the matter in Jiuyi Mountain, Concubine Qing, in order to repay Bai Xuelu, had Shi Yu called back from Xueying's side. She also promised that if Xuelu understood the situation in the future, she would fulfill Xuelu's request.

Before parting, Qing Gang expressed that he wouldn't give up on Bai Xuelu. Xuelu knew that Qing Gang truly cared for her, but she could only follow the person who eventually ascended to the throne. She could only blame Qing Gang for his misplaced affection.

Concubine Qing had Shi Yu taken away and forbade any further communication between him and Xueying.
