Bai Xuelu withheld the letters sent by Bai Xueying to Jiuyi Mountain and modified them, letting Zhu Yan know about the beauty-enhancing effect of Nüluo's Nüluo leaves. After experiencing the fiery Heavenly Tribulation, Chong Ming, who was very concerned about his appearance, believed that he was disfigured and couldn't show himself to others. Zhu Yan came to comfort Chong Ming and tempted him with delicious food. When Chong Ming heard that the fish soup brought by Zhu Yan had beauty-enhancing effects, he became interested.

Zhu Yan saw that Chong Ming was distressed over his burnt feathers due to the tribulation. She remembered the Nüluo leaves mentioned by Bai Xueying and wanted to find them to help Chong Ming regain his appearance. Zhu Yan went to Nüluo Creek in search of the leaves, but the Ice Clan assassins wanted to use her to lure Shi Ying. Shi Ying sensed that Zhu Yan was in danger and rushed to save her, but he was intercepted by the people sent by Da Si Ming. Shi Ying chose to save Zhu Yan instead of seizing the opportunity to break through the mirror and stopped the people sent by Da Si Ming, heading towards Nüluo Creek.

Zhu Yan alone couldn't resist the elite Ice Clan assassins, so Shi Ying arrived to confront them. He realized that the Ice Clan had colluded with the Qing Clan, but he hadn't broken through to the true realm yet, and his spiritual power was at its weakest. He could only make a feint before fleeing with Zhu Yan.

Da Si Ming deduced from the birthdate sent by the Wife of Lord Chi that Zhu Yan was the calamity destined for Shi Ying. Upon receiving the report, Shi Yu rushed to rescue Zhu Yan without hesitation. When Da Si Ming learned of this, he quickly went to Nüluo Creek with his men. Shi Ying and Zhu Yan fled to the edge of the cliff at Nüluo Creek, and the Ice Clan assassins caught up. Shi Ying and Zhu Yan had to join forces to fight them. Seeing Zhu Yan get injured, Shi Ying used the power of the Heavenly Retribution to deal with the assassins. Zhu Yan held Shi Ying's hand and used the power of the Gong Shang instrument, which united their energies, to help Shi Ying repel the Ice Clan assassins. However, they both fell into Nüluo Creek as a result.

Zhu Yan's powers were weak, and she couldn't share too much of Shi Ying's injuries. Fortunately, Bai Xuelu had previously taught Zhu Yan the Waterfowl technique, so she tried to bring Shi Ying out of the water. The Dragon God was in danger, and the Earth God's Ring appeared in the Sea Country. Seeing Shi Ying fall into a coma, Zhu Yan used her mouth to transfer her breath to Shi Ying, successfully awakening him. As a result, they arrived at the Cangwu Abyss.

In the Cangwu Abyss, the Dragon God surrounded Shi Ying and Zhu Yan. Zhu Yan explained that they fell into this place due to an ambush by the Ice Clan, and she wanted to request the Dragon God to send them out. However, the Dragon God despised the Kongsang people and sensed that Shi Ying's aura matched that of the Star Sovereign Emperor who trapped him thousands of years ago. Naturally, he didn't want to let them go. Shi Ying was too injured to fight the Dragon God, but Zhu Yan stood up against him with her limited power, aided by the Dragon Blood Ancient Jade. The Dragon God recognized the protective artifact of the Merfolk on Zhu Yan and understood that the one who possessed the Dragon Blood Ancient Jade must have a significant connection to the Sea Country's fate. In order not to disrupt the Sea Country's destiny, the Dragon God sent Shi Ying and Zhu Yan out of the Cangwu Abyss.

Zhu Yan wanted to bring the unconscious Shi Ying back to the Qingxiu Hall, but she was also injured and couldn't take him away. Fortunately, Da Si Ming arrived with his men, and Zhu Yan fainted upon seeing him. Da Si Ming examined the Lulihua mark on Zhu Yan's forehead and confirmed that she was indeed the calamity destined for Shi Ying.

Shi Ying woke up after three days and three nights in a coma. He was worried about Zhu Yan's safety and quickly went to check on her condition. Zhu Yan's spiritual veins were severely damaged, and it would take some time to recover. Shi Ying instructed his subordinates to take care of Zhu Yan. Chong Ming saw that Shi Ying only cared about Zhu Yan and never asked when he would regain his spiritual power. Shi Ying had failed to break the mirror before, and he didn't know if he would have another chance to enter the true realm. Chong Ming believed that Shi Ying was willing to give up everything for Zhu Yan and speculated that Shi Ying had developed feelings for her.

When Zhu Yan woke up, she learned that Shi Ying had come earlier to visit her and had instructed his subordinates to prepare medicine for her injuries. Zhu Yan thought about how Bai Xueying had suggested she go to collect Nüluo leaves, and the Ice Clan had set an ambush in that exact place to capture her. She couldn't believe such a coincidence and suspected that someone wanted to frame her master and deliberately imitated Bai Xueying's handwriting to deceive her into going to Nüluo Creek.

Da Si Ming deliberately let Zhu Yan know about Shi Ying's identity, hoping that Shi Ying could overcome his emotional obstacle and persuade him to leave the mountain for Zhu Yan. Zhu Yan couldn't believe that the prince she had been yearning for was actually her master, and she didn't understand why he had kept this from her.
