Zhu Yan met Shi Ying and confirmed that he didn't regret taking off the god robe. She expressed her support for whatever decision he made, and she looked forward to that day. Afterward, Zhu Yan left with a heavy heart. Shi Ying believed that Zhu Yan already understood his feelings, and he promised to protect her for a lifetime.

Bai Xueying wanted to write a letter to inform Zhu Yan of her location so that Zhu Yan could visit her. Shi Yu suggested that Zhu Yan could come to their wedding celebration, and they spent a beautiful night together. The Hai Kingdom army and Kongsang had completed their troop withdrawals, and Shi Ying had finally fulfilled his mission.

Zhu Yan learned that Su Mo missed her mother, Fish Princess, and she taught Su Mo how to transform paper cranes to search for her mother in the Blue Falling Sea. Shi Ying wrote a wedding letter with their portraits and their names, expressing his hope for a lifelong union with Zhu Yan.

The Returning Evil Star reappeared, causing Su Mo a sudden headache. Zhu Yan hurriedly took him to see a doctor. The doctor diagnosed Su Mo as a Dragon Blood Sea Emperor due to his practice of Kongsang magic. Zhu Yan realized that Su Mo stole her magic book to seek revenge for his mother. The doctor instructed Zhu Yan to place the Jiao Clan sacred item, Dragon Blood Ancient Jade, on Su Mo's chest. Su Mo successfully absorbed the power of the jade, and the doctor took Su Mo upstairs for further treatment. Zhu Yan trusted the doctor, but he secretly took Su Mo away.

The doctor brought Su Mo to the Jiao Clan to claim the reward, but the Jiao Clan Elder, Jian, killed him to cover up the truth. Jian falsely claimed that Zhu Yan abandoned Su Mo and deepened Su Mo's hatred towards Kongsang. Jian received a map of the Jialan Imperial City, which he planned to use to attack the city, break the ceasefire agreement, and blame Zhi Yuan. He also intended to use Shi Ying's hand to eliminate Zhi Yuan.

The Returning Evil Star suddenly turned into the Great Disaster Star, indicating that it would replace the Kongsang Imperial Star in seventy years and destroy Kongsang. While searching for Su Mo on the street, Zhu Yan unexpectedly witnessed the Hai Kingdom army invading Jialan City and killing innocent civilians. Upon hearing the news, Shi Ying rushed to the city to eliminate the invading Hai Kingdom soldiers. He immediately assigned Qing Gang and Bai Fenglin to guard Jialan City and set out to find Sea Emperor Zhi Yuan.

Zhi Yuan arrived at the White Residence and discovered that the couple who helped care for the blind Jiao people had been killed. He accused Jian of the murders, and Jian admitted that these people died for him. Zhi Yuan was angered and killed Jian, instructing Axi to take the Jiao people back to their clan. Zhi Yuan knew that unity was essential for the Jiao people, and returning to the Blue Falling Sea was their only way forward.

Shi Ying arrived at the White Residence and mistakenly believed that Zhi Yuan killed his Sixth Uncle's family. He also thought that the Hai Kingdom's violation of the agreement was Zhi Yuan's doing. Zhi Yuan didn't want Shi Ying to know about Su Mo's existence and could only admit to those accusations. Shi Ying attempted to kill Zhi Yuan, but Zhi Yuan used the Water Vanishing Technique to escape. Shi Ying informed Zhu Yan, who arrived hurriedly, that Zhi Yuan killed Sixth Uncle's family. Zhu Yan believed that there must be more to the story, but Shi Ying no longer wanted to hear anything related to Zhi Yuan.

Upon returning to the Jiao Clan, Zhi Yuan learned that Jian had used the Dream Alteration Technique on Su Mo, causing him to be trapped in a dream of hating Kongsang, unable to wake up. While Zhu Yan believed in Zhi Yuan, she still wanted to ask him for the truth. However, Zhi Yuan wasn't willing to explain further and only wanted to help the Hai Kingdom troops withdraw. Zhu Yan informed Zhi Yuan about Su Mo's disappearance, and only then did Zhi Yuan realize the connection between Zhu Yan, the Dragon Blood Ancient Jade, and Su Mo. Zhi Yuan felt that the relationship between the two clans was at odds and that it wouldn't be appropriate for Zhu Yan to stay with him in the Red Palace.

The Hai Kingdom army resumed the war, and Shi Ying blamed himself for the situation. He sought out the King of Bei Mian to be punished. The King of Bei Mian instructed Shi Ying to kill Sea Emperor Zhi Yuan and wipe out the Hai Kingdom army to end the war completely. The King of Bei Mian believed that Zhi Yuan's death was necessary to resolve the suspicions of the court officials and pacify the anger of the people. Shi Ying understood that this was the only way to resolve the chaos and promised to kill Zhi Yuan.

Zhi Yuan admitted his identity as the Sea Emperor in front of the Hai Kingdom army and stated that he had no intention of interfering in the conflict between Kongsang and the Jiao Clan. He only wanted his people to live without worries and would do his best to find a way for them to return to the Blue Falling Sea. Qing Gang and Bai Fenglin led their troops to besiege the Hai Kingdom army and unexpectedly found information about the Kongsang daily movements among the Hai Kingdom officers, indicating that there was a spy among the Kongsang commanders.

Bai Fenglin found Bai Xuelu and persuaded her as a sibling to retrieve the stolen military intelligence from Qing Gang. Bai Xuelu initially refused, but Bai Fenglin threatened to expose her mother's death. Bai Xuelu learned about Bai Fenglin's betrayal and how he had leaked information to the Hai Kingdom army to gain recognition. Knowing that Bai Fenglin's actions endangered hundreds of lives in the Bai Residence, Bai Xuelu reluctantly agreed to help retrieve the information.
