Star Emperor asked Wuxian Tortoise to pretend to be dead and had Shi Ying kill the Star Emperor's body to gain Shi Ying's trust. Now that both Shi Ying and Zhi Yuan were dead, chaos ruled the world, and with Hou Tu in his hands, the next step was to obtain the Heavenly Emperor's position.

Bai Fenglin voluntarily confessed to Bai Wang that he had falsely provided information to the Sea Country Army for the sake of gaining achievements, but he was later intercepted by Qing Gang, who wanted to falsely accuse him of colluding with the enemy. Bai Xuelu revealed the truth and believed Bai Fenglin was twisting the truth. She was willing to go to Shi Ying to confess the truth. Bai Wang forced Bai Xuelu to marry Shi Ying.
