The Longest Promise Episode 37 Recap
> The Longest Promise Recap
Zhu Yan was too tired from taking care of Shi Ying and accidentally fell asleep. When she woke up, she found that Shi Ying was missing. Upon inquiry, she learned that Shi Ying insisted on going to Jiuyi County, and Chong Ming had to accompany him there. Worried that Shi Ying might be investigating her identity, Zhu Yan hurriedly went to Jiuyi County to find him.
In the rain, Zhu Yan found Shi Ying by the river, who was actually looking for herbs to treat allergies, and Chong Ming brought him there. Seeing Zhu Yan soaked in the rain, Shi Ying quickly gave her his umbrella and expressed that although he felt close to Zhu Yan, he wanted her to tell him about their relationship personally. To thank Shi Ying for the fruit he gave her, Zhu Yan decided to invite him for a drink that evening.
In fact, Da Si Ming had instructed Zhu Yan to bring Shi Ying to the lakeside of the Starry Lake on the last day. There, Shi Ying's soul would be secure, and the seven stars in the lake would be the key to his complete rebirth. Shi Ying originally wanted to confess his feelings to Zhu Yan, but she noticed that his soul was already complete. Zhu Yan decided to be a little willful and dance for Shi Ying one last time.
Zhu Yan performed the final dance for Shi Ying by the lake, and he asked her if she had danced this dance for him before because he felt it was familiar. Shi Ying suspected that they were in love before, and what he wanted to say was that he wanted to spend his life with Zhu Yan. Holding back her tears, Zhu Yan told him that she would give him the answer when he woke up the next day.
As the sun set, Shi Ying eventually fell asleep next to Zhu Yan. At this moment, she gave her beloved one a final kiss and entrusted Shi Ying to Chong Ming. She decided to leave Jiuyi Mountain and never see Shi Ying again. Da Si Ming used magic to remove the worms from the body of the King of Bei Mian. He believed that the chaos caused by King of Bei Mian harmed Kongsang and killed the only loyal Empress, Bai Yan, and drove away the only loyal crown prince. Da Si Ming's revival of King of Bei Mian was to bring justice to Bai Yan and Shi Ying, who came late.
Zhu Yan lost all her senses, stumbling down the mountain. She fell unconscious in the mountains. Concubine Qing tried to escape from the palace but was caught halfway and accused by the King of Bei Mian of poisoning him. He wanted to kill Concubine Qing, but she was willing to bear the guilt and hoped that he wouldn't involve Shi Yu. Then she committed suicide. Da Si Ming wanted to clear Bai Yan and her son's names. He didn't want Shi Ying to return to the mortal world and recognize King of Bei Mian. King of Bei Mian had to order to strip Concubine Qing of her title and demote her to a commoner. Bai Yan was posthumously honored as Empress Ren Jia, and her remains were moved to the Imperial Valley. Shi Ying resumed his status as the crown prince from that day.
Xuelu and Qing Gang rescued Zhu Yan in the mountains, but she remained unconscious for three days, and they were unable to help her because she had told them not to take her to Jiuyi Mountain. Xuelu recalled something she had read in ancient texts and suspected that Zhu Yan's lost senses could only be restored by magic. Together with Qing Gang, they used the magic of their clans to restore Zhu Yan's sight and hearing, but unfortunately, Qing Gang belonged to a branch of the Qing clan and didn't have the Qing clan's ultimate treasure. In the end, Qing Gang used a hereditary precious jade and joined forces with Xuelu to perform magic on Zhu Yan.
Wu Xian came to see Bai Fenglin and wanted to join forces with him to achieve their wishes. Wu Xian's condition was for Bai Fenglin to take his master to Jia Lan White Tower. Bai Fenglin took Wu Xian to Jia Lan White Tower, and during this time, Star Lord successfully obtained the Heavenly Ring.
When Shi Ying woke up, he learned that he had been resurrected because of the Blood Oath of the Stars, and Zhu Yan had spent three days comprehending the Blood Oath of the Stars and used half of her life force to save him. Shi Ying felt guilty towards Zhu Yan, believing that she must hate him for killing Zhi Yuan and couldn't forgive himself, which led her to choose to leave the mountain.
Following the fragrance, Shi Ying arrived at the kitchen and found a divine servant learning to make Snow Wei Cake. Upon questioning, the divine servant revealed his memory loss to Shi Ying and mentioned that Zhu Yan had taken care of him for three days even to the extent of undressing him. Shi Ying made an appointment with Chong Ming to go to the lakeside of the Starry Lake, tricking Chong Ming into believing that he had remembered the three days spent with Zhu Yan. Chong Ming told him about Zhu Yan not wanting to burden him with her calamity daughter status and choosing to leave the mountain. Chong Ming also realized that Shi Ying hadn't fully regained his memory of those three days.
Knowing that Zhu Yan had used half of her life force to save him and took care of him for three days, Shi Ying suspected that she actually liked him even though she said she liked Zhi Yuan. He deduced that Zhu Yan liked him, and her initial declaration of liking Zhi Yuan was just to save someone. After confirming his feelings from Chong Ming, Shi Ying decided to go down the mountain to find Zhu Yan. When Da Si Ming arrived and saw Shi Ying awake, he was very happy. He promised not to force Shi Ying to return to the mortal world and forbade him from looking for Zhu Yan, the calamity daughter. Shi Ying thanked Da Si Ming for his nurturing over the years, but now that he had died once, he just wanted to be with Zhu Yan and not waste the second chance she gave him. Shi Ying was determined to go to the Hell of Ten Thousand Tribulations and took off his divine robe. Seeing his determination, Da Si Ming finally agreed to his request.
