In the department store, Xin Qi was jealous of the high heels Zhou Ruji gave to Min Hui and was considering whether to choose a pair to outdo Zhou. Ha Di saw through Xin Qi's thoughts and talked incessantly, introducing him to many options, but Xin Qi didn't listen and asked the store clerk for the best-selling pair this quarter. Meanwhile, Yao Zizhu waited at the nurse's station for two hours for Zhou Ruji to finish his surgery, but he came out exhausted, and she didn't want to ask about the high heels, so she left without disturbing him.

To attend a company meeting, Min Hui instructed Xin Qi to take Quanquan and prepared to leave wearing shoes. Xin Qi took out the shoes he had chosen, originally planning to buy high heels, but thinking that Min Hui might not like them, he bought a pair of flats. Faced with Xin Qi's thoughtfulness, Min Hui was at a loss for words and hurriedly left after putting on the shoes he bought. Xin Qi was also nervous, worried that Min Hui wouldn't accept the shoes, but seeing her wearing them and leaving, he was excited.

After work, Min Hui accompanied Cao Mu shopping and saw her try on several swimsuits, guessing that she was going to meet Chen Jiajun. She teased her about it but Cao Mu didn't answer and instead asked about the shoes Min Hui was wearing, suspecting that Xin Qi had given them to her, and suggested that they might be interested in each other. However, Min Hui thought that it was not possible anymore between them due to too many misunderstandings, so she ignored Cao Mu's words.

Later, Min Hui went to the kindergarten to pick up Quanquan and learned that the parents of the children were planning a parent-child activity and invited her family to join them. Min Hui initially refused, but seeing how much Quanquan wanted to go, she promised to take him. Before bed, Quanquan asked Min Hui if Xin Qi could join them at the parent-child activity. Min Hui was hesitant, so she sat on the sofa and waited for Xin Qi to come back. However, Xin Qi told her that he had to go on a business trip out of town and left Ha Di to keep them company. Min Hui didn't mention the parent-child activity and reminded Xin Qi to stay safe.

At the swimming pool, Cao Mu pretended to be drowning and successfully attracted Chen Jiajun's attention, who was about to guide other girls, and kept him by her side. Meanwhile, Min Hui was practicing making cupcakes at home, and Min Quanquan was watching. Seeing Min Hui struggling, he recorded a video and sent it to Xin Qi. When the cupcakes failed, Quanquan suggested buying them at the store, but Hui thought they should value this parent-child activity and create unforgettable memories. In the deep end, a girl was drowning, and Cao Mu saw her and quickly jumped in to save her. Chen Jiajun saw this and realized that Cao Mu had been deceiving him, pretending to be a beginner and asking for his guidance, even though she was skilled at swimming. His face darkened.

Zhou Ruji went to visit Min Hui and saw her failed attempt at making cupcakes. He offered to help and succeeded where Hui had failed. Hui was pleased and asked Zhou Ruji to write down the steps so that she could make cupcakes successfully. Zhou Ruji was curious about why Xin Qi didn't attend the parent-child activity, and Hui explained that he was out of town on a business trip. Quanquan hoped that he would attend, as did Hui. After all, with Xin Qi at home, Quanquan was happier. Hui wanted her family to be more complete but not necessarily to reconcile.

After leaving the swimming pool, Cao Mu and Chen Jiajun went to a bar and talked things over, gradually getting closer. Chen Jiajun became more and more drunk, so Cao Mu took him to her house, afraid that something might happen. Chen Jiajun, drunk, lay in the bathtub and saw Cao Mu taking care of him. He confessed his true feelings, and Cao Mu kissed him back.

The next day, Xin Qi suddenly appeared at the parent-child activity and suggested making a family cake on site. Hui hesitated, fearing that the cake would fail, but Quanquan encouraged her. So the three of them went to the cake shop and made their own cake, creating a very festive atmosphere.
