Her father excitedly shared the news with neighbors, while her mother immediately informed the family to celebrate together. After receiving her admission letter, Xia Mi went to school to meet her classmates. When Xia Mi went to the restroom, Lin Ruolei followed to touch up her makeup and apologized for her earlier bluntness. However, Xia Mi felt Lin Ruolei was being insincere and didn’t pay her much attention.
Back in the private room, Fan Yuan suddenly appeared, surprising everyone as he hadn’t mentioned attending. Even Lin Ruolei was taken aback. The first thing Fan Yuan did was hug Xia Mi. After dinner, Xia Mi and Fan Yuan talked about Zhang Ruoxi. Fan Yuan revealed that after moving to Shanghai, Zhang Ruoxi refused any help and cut off contact with him. Xia Mi was bitter, feeling that Zhang Ruoxi had long forgotten their ten-year promise.
Lin Ruolei suggested to Fan Yuan that they escort Xia Mi home together, but Xia Mi declined. After she left, Fan Yuan pushed Lin Ruolei’s arm off his.
