Leng Yishu came to Quan Hai to seek a partnership with Xiao Mucheng and took the opportunity to show off his newly secured collaboration with Teng Yue. However, when he saw Lin Youjia staying at Quan Hai, his face turned green. Meanwhile, a guest at Quan Hai was causing a scene. After going through a divorce, he stood on the balcony crying and threatening to jump.

To stop him, Yi Ran rushed over, crying as well, and claimed that she had only discovered on her wedding day that her partner was already married—with twins! Her dramatic performance successfully talked him down. Xiao Mucheng hurried over upon receiving the news, but instead of being relieved, he was angry at Yi Ran for her unconventional approach.

Yi Ran officially became a housekeeping staff member, but her colleagues believed her story about being deceived by a scumbag and secretly felt sorry for her. Yi Ran’s good intentions were misunderstood, leaving her in a foul mood. Seeing her unhappy, Lin Youjia offered to arrange another job for her, but she stubbornly stayed to prove a point. Xiao Mucheng mistakenly thought Yi Ran had an ex-husband named Li Lei. Yi Ran rolled her eyes—it was just a made-up story.

Xiao Mucheng told Yi Ran she had to attend housekeeping training the next day and could only become a full-time employee after passing. He arranged a dormitory for her, and with its good lighting, Yi Ran took an instant liking to it. The next morning, Yi Ran received a call from Gu Xindi, saying that Xiao Mucheng had arranged for her to attend the training. The trainer, Sister Man, was strict—only those who passed the assessment could officially join.

Xiao Mucheng scheduled Yi Ran to take a test in his office every night at 8 p. m. , leaving her with no room to complain. Gu Xindi was dragged along to celebrate with Yi Ran, as they were now colleagues. She also formally apologized for what had happened before. For hotel financing, Leng Yishu sought investment from Baisman, only to discover that the real boss behind Baisman was also President Lin.

Lin Youjia found Leng Yishu amusing—anything related to Quan Hai, he had to fight for. At 8 p. m. , Yi Ran arrived punctually at Xiao Mucheng’s office for her test. From then on, her days were filled with reciting, practicing her smile, and tackling English—the hardest part. Struggling with English, Yi Ran sought help from Gu Xindi, who taught her a few foolproof phrases.

So whenever she met foreign guests, she would say her English wasn’t great but managed to get by just fine. After two days of training, Yi Ran felt confident in her housekeeping skills. However, Xiao Mucheng nitpicked at every detail, telling her to start with turndown service and report back that night for inspection. Yi Ran misunderstood turndown service, thinking it was some inappropriate hidden rule.

Outraged, she vowed to expose the hotel’s dark secrets and planned to catch Xiao Mucheng in the act. Determined, she wrapped herself in a bathrobe and, embracing the spirit of self-sacrifice, seductively sprawled on the bed—though deep down, she had a bit of anticipation. Xiao Mucheng only arrived a long while after Yi Ran sent her message. Seeing her dressed like that, he was utterly confused. Yi Ran, unable to hold back, lunged at him. As they tussled, they rolled off the bed and onto the floor.
