Xiao Xiang was taken in as a disciple by Chu Kong, embarking on a joyful yet chaotic life within the Sheng Ling Sect. Her only problem was that her master insisted on her making Begonia Flower Cakes. Despite her continuous efforts, the cakes Xiao Xiang made were still quite unpalatable. Chu Kong had been investigating the truth behind the tragic Yang family massacre.

During one taste test, a crumb of cake stuck to the corner of Chu Kong's mouth. Xiao Xiang gestured for him to wipe it off, but Chu Kong misunderstood and thought she wanted him to kiss her. Feeling disappointed because Xiao Xiang didn't reciprocate his feelings, Chu Kong sought advice from Qianren on how to win her heart. He attempted tactics such as showcasing his sword skills and giving her a piglet as a gift, but his attempts backfired, and Xiao Xiang ended up thinking he was angry with her.

Chu Kong decided to personally cook a meal for Xiao Xiang, but the result was disastrous as everyone fell ill due to food poisoning.
