Zhuang Guodong and Huang Yimei were in a long-distance relationship, separated by an ocean and a six-hour time difference. Huang Yimei eagerly awaited her daily conversations with Zhuang Guodong, wanting to know everything about his life in Paris. Newly arrived at the Paris headquarters, Zhuang Guodong worked from dawn until late night, trying to adapt quickly to his new job. He also carved out time to video call Huang Yimei, but he couldn't share every detail.

To avoid raising her suspicions, he deliberately concealed his outing to a bar with his female colleague, Naomi. Huang Yimei discovered his lie, leading to an argument and an unhappy end to their call. Not wanting the issue to fester and affect their relationship, Zhuang Guodong called Huang Yimei again to apologize, eventually making her smile through her tears. Su Gengsheng had arranged to work out with Huang Zhenhua.

She waited for him at his door, but just as they were about to leave, Bai Taiwen showed up looking for Huang Zhenhua. Su Gengsheng had to go jogging alone. Bai Xiaohe had not gone on a trip to Guangxi with her parents; instead, she revealed her breakup with Huang Zhenhua, angering her mother and resulting in a fierce argument.

Bai Xiaohe moved to her school dormitory out of spite, avoiding home and not answering her parents' calls for several days. Bai Taiwen, left with no other option, sought Huang Zhenhua's help, asking him to check on Bai Xiaohe. Huang Zhenhua agreed readily, though Bai Taiwen regretted that Bai Xiaohe's first boyfriend wasn't Huang Zhenhua. Jiang Xueqiong wanted to organize an art exhibition for a child with autism and hoped to entrust the project to Huang Yimei.

However, Huang Yimei publicly refused, as she wanted to go to Paris to see Zhuang Guodong. Su Gengsheng felt it was a pity, and Jiang Xueqiong advised Huang Yimei not to waste such a great opportunity for a few days of romance. Determined, Huang Yimei decided to see Zhuang Guodong immediately and was prepared to resign. Jiang Xueqiong reluctantly approved her leave. Huang Yimei packed her bags and brushed up on her French as quickly as possible.

Huang Zhenhua, caught between how to advise Bai Xiaohe and not disappointing Bai Taiwen, felt conflicted and hadn't contacted Su Gengsheng for two days. On their first night run together, Su Gengsheng guessed that Bai Taiwen was Huang Zhenhua's ex-girlfriend's father and that Huang Zhenhua was facing a difficult situation. Huang Zhenhua was impressed by her insight and began to see her as a confidant.

Huang Yimei traveled across the ocean to Paris and found the address of Zhuang Guodong's rented apartment. Since he was still at work, she waited patiently at the door. Due to an oversight, Zhuang Guodong had made an error in a contract amount and was reprimanded by his boss. Naomi stepped in to defend him, and Zhuang Guodong felt grateful. After work, Naomi drove Zhuang Guodong back to his apartment to revise the contract.

Hearing his voice, Huang Yimei ran downstairs to greet him, causing Naomi to leave. The long-awaited reunion between Huang Yimei and Zhuang Guodong was filled with excitement. They were deeply affectionate and couldn't get enough of each other. As Zhuang Guodong stayed up late to revise the contract, Huang Yimei stayed up to keep him company. He worked hard to quickly become the marketing manager so he could bring Huang Yimei to live in Paris with him.

Huang Yimei was upset because she couldn't abandon her work and family, and was frustrated that Zhuang Guodong had made another unilateral decision. Despite his efforts to cheer her up, she remained unhappy. When Huang Zhenhua tried to comfort Bai Xiaohe, he discovered that she had gone to her ex-boyfriend's hometown in Anhui. Her ex-boyfriend avoided her, leaving Bai Xiaohe disappointed.

He later called her to explain that he was now in a serious relationship with someone his parents had introduced and was planning to marry, asking her to forget him. Heartbroken, Bai Xiaohe returned to Beijing and was so upset that she vomited all day. She resolved to focus on her studies and aim for a career in a foreign research institute. Huang Zhenhua gently encouraged her and suggested they work out together, but she wasn't interested.

Zhuang Guodong took a day off to spend time with Huang Yimei, but an urgent work matter forced him back to the office in the afternoon. He took Huang Yimei on a brief tour of nearby attractions while handling work emails on his phone, dampening her enthusiasm. Over lunch, he chose a simple fast-food place to save time. Afterward, he took her to his office, where he mingled with colleagues and shared a birthday cake.

From the window, Huang Yimei saw a different Zhuang Guodong—distant and unfamiliar. She realized that their perceived closeness was actually growing apart, and unease settled in her heart. After finishing his work, Zhuang Guodong took Huang Yimei home, planning to make it up to her that night. However, his mother called, insisting he attend a charity gala. He took Huang Yimei along and introduced her to his mother, who then asked him to greet Lulu.
