Zhuang Guodong took Huang Yimei to a charity gala, where Huang Yimei made a stunning entrance, immediately catching the attention of the guests. Zhuang Guodong introduced her to his friends before engaging in lively conversations and toasting, leaving Huang Yimei feeling out of place and retreating to drink alone in a corner.

Zhuang's mother brought Lulu to meet Zhuang Guodong. It had been many years since Zhuang Guodong and Lulu had seen each other, and they enjoyed a pleasant conversation. From a distance, Huang Yimei watched them chat animatedly, suddenly feeling like an outsider. Early the next morning, Huang Yimei quietly packed her belongings, kissed Zhuang Guodong lightly, and resolutely left.

When Zhuang Guodong woke up, he found that Huang Yimei had left without a word. He anxiously tried to call her but couldn't get through. His supervisor called, asking him to return to work overtime, so he had to go back to the office. Huang Yimei landed in Beijing and received a message from Zhuang Guodong as soon as she turned on her phone. She made an excuse about urgent work and left.

Huang Yimei arrived at work on time the next morning. Su Gengsheng immediately noticed she was distracted, and Huang Yimei confided in her about her accumulated frustrations. Su Gengsheng offered her comforting words.

Jiang Xueqiong and her husband, Lao Gu, lived apart, with one in Hong Kong and the other in Beijing, both unwilling to give up their careers. Their relationship had grown cold over the years. Two months ago, Jiang Xueqiong went to Hong Kong to ask Lao Gu for a divorce, and shortly after returning, she discovered she was pregnant. She decided to have an abortion and called Huang Yimei.

Su Gengsheng arrived to help Jiang Xueqiong with the hospital admission procedures, and the doctor scheduled the abortion for the next day. That evening, Huang Yimei secretly brought Jiang Xueqiong some red wine. As Jiang Xueqiong was about to drink, Huang Yimei asked why she was giving up on her marriage and child. Jiang Xueqiong, deeply in love with Lao Gu, didn't want to spend her life just as Mrs. Gu, so she had to abandon both the marriage and the child.

Before the surgery, Lao Gu hurried from Hong Kong to see Jiang Xueqiong. Huang Yimei quickly hid outside the door and asked the nurse to give Jiang Xueqiong more time to prepare. Lao Gu and Jiang Xueqiong talked for a while before he left the divorce agreement and departed. Before leaving, Lao Gu asked Huang Yimei to take good care of Jiang Xueqiong, who then instructed Huang Yimei to give the agreement to her lawyer.

Zhuang Guodong and Huang Yimei had a video call, during which he excitedly shared his plans. Through hard work, he had topped the management training and was about to be promoted to marketing manager. He told her that he would be eligible for permanent residency in five years. As he eagerly discussed his work and life plans, Huang Yimei found him very unfamiliar and decisively broke up with him. Zhuang Guodong agreed to the breakup and angrily hung up the call.

When Huang Yimei left the office, it was pouring rain. She walked in the rain, letting the cold water hit her face and body. She drank alone to drown her sorrows and quickly got drunk. Su Gengsheng and Huang Zhenhua rushed to the bar upon hearing the news and struggled to take her home. After settling Huang Yimei to sleep, Huang Zhenhua and Su Gengsheng drank together until they passed out on the sofa.

The next morning, Huang Zhenhua woke up to find himself lying on Su Gengsheng's lap. Both felt awkward about their close proximity, and Su Gengsheng quickly found an excuse to leave. Huang Yimei woke up and immediately headed to Zhuang Guodong's place in Beijing. She packed her things and tearfully wiped off the four flowers on the wall, determined to end things with him completely.

Zhuang Guodong messaged Huang Yimei, trying to salvage their relationship, but she resolutely refused. She was completely heartbroken and had given up on him.
