Huang Yimei painted the entire wall with white paint. Exhausted, she saw her impromptu artwork covered up, painfully sealing away her feelings for Zhuang Guodong. Drained, she lay on the floor and fell asleep, her phone beside her. She accidentally dialed her mother’s number.

Wu Yuejiang was woken up in the middle of the night by Huang Yimei’s call, but there was no sound on the other end. Huang Jianzhi was also woken up, and the couple, worried about Huang Yimei, kept sending her messages. Huang Yimei didn’t respond, leaving Wu Yuejiang and Huang Jianzhi sleepless with worry.

When Huang Yimei woke up in the morning and saw countless messages, she realized she had dialed the wrong number. She immediately hurried home. As soon as Huang Jianzhi saw her, he scolded her harshly, even admonishing Huang Zhenhua. Huang Yimei knew she was wrong but didn’t know how to explain, so she just kept crying.

Forcing herself to pull it together, Huang Yimei went to work. She asked Jiang Xueqiong to take over the charity art exhibition project, but Jiang, worried that Huang Yimei hadn’t yet moved on from her emotional turmoil, gave the project to Han Ying. Huang Yimei, wanting to distract herself with work, agreed to assist Han Ying.

Huang Yimei selected a painting by Xiao Jia, a girl with autism, for the charity auction. She talked with Xiao Jia for a long time. Han Ying suggested renting a venue to display the artworks, but Huang Yimei proposed using the company lobby and meeting rooms to save costs and promote the company. She also suggested continuing to focus on work related to special children, and Jiang Xueqiong agreed.

Huang Zhenhua and Su Gengsheng had arranged to exercise together, no matter the weather. Wu Yuejiang suspected Huang Zhenhua was in a relationship, and he found various excuses to hide it. Su Gengsheng, worried about Huang Yimei, asked Huang Zhenhua about her.

After work, Huang Yimei locked herself in her room to study the psychological issues of special children. She planned to propose establishing a special children’s foundation to Jiang Xueqiong. Working overtime, she quickly got her plan approved and funded by the head office. Jiang Xueqiong handed the project to her, with Su Gengsheng fully supporting her work.

Thanks to the relentless efforts of Huang Yimei, Su Gengsheng, and others, the project progressed smoothly. Su Gengsheng organized a celebration banquet, where Huang Yimei, reminded of her time with Zhuang Guodong, couldn't help but shed tears. Su Gengsheng noticed and discussed with Huang Zhenhua how to help her move on from her emotional pain.

While preparing for the art exhibition, Huang Yimei interacted with many children with psychological issues and developed an interest in studying psychology. She submitted her resignation to Jiang Xueqiong, planning to further her studies in Shanghai. Her parents and Huang Zhenhua were reluctant to see her go so far, but Huang Yimei was determined.

Wu Yuejiang accompanied Huang Yimei to buy daily necessities, encouraging her to study hard and forget past unhappiness. As the school year approached, Huang Yimei packed her things and traveled from Beijing to Shanghai, heading directly to the school to register.

Fang Xiewen, a third-year computer science graduate student, was handsome and academically outstanding, admired by many junior students, yet he remained indifferent. When he helped welcome the new students, he was deeply attracted to the beautiful and unique Huang Yimei and fell in love with her at first sight. He found her information from the registration form.

A month passed quickly. Huang Yimei gradually adapted to the intense but simple campus life and worked part-time at a German beer house. She felt more fulfilled and content than ever, frequently writing letters to Su Gengsheng to report on her studies and life.

Fang Xiewen kept a close watch on Huang Yimei's every move. He also took a part-time job at the beer house to get closer to her. One day, an elderly couple came to the beer house for a meal. The old lady, speaking in thick Shanghainese, ordered, and Huang Yimei couldn't understand. Fang Xiewen came to her rescue, making her feel grateful.

Wu Yuejiang and Huang Jianzhi thought Huang Zhenhua and Su Gengsheng were dating and asked Huang Zhenhua to invite her to dinner. Huang Zhenhua repeatedly explained that they were not a couple, only to be told they wanted to ask Su Gengsheng about Huang Yimei. He reluctantly agreed to speak to her. Speaking hesitantly, Huang Zhenhua couldn’t hide his feelings for Su Gengsheng, who saw through it and realized he liked her. He insisted they were just mentor and mentee.

A man came to the beer house for a week straight, always requesting Huang Yimei as his server and ordering a tableful of food each time. Sensing his intentions, Huang Yimei directly rejected him, advising him to give up. Fang Xiewen watched with secret joy. After work, he saw Huang Yimei board a bus and was about to bike back to the dorm when he noticed a man following her. Concerned for her safety, he chased the bus on his bike, sweating profusely until he saw her get home safely from afar, then left relieved.

The company sent Huang Zhenhua to Sydney for an architectural design awards ceremony. He wanted to visit Zhuang Guodong in Germany, so he swapped assignments with a colleague. Everyone knew the Sydney trip was a cushy assignment. Before leaving, Huang Zhenhua called Huang Yimei, advising her to reconcile with Zhuang Guodong. She refused, not wanting to prolong their mutual torment, and reminded him not to give Zhuang Guodong her contact information. After hanging up, she hid and cried, which Fang Xiewen witnessed.

After completing his work in Germany, Huang Zhenhua went directly to Paris to find Zhuang Guodong, who had received a promotion and a raise. Eagerly, Zhuang asked Huang Zhenhua about Huang Yimei's current situation.
