Su Gengsheng's down payment for her house was finally accepted, and she and Huang Zhenhua went together to inspect the house. Su Gengsheng signed the contract on the spot and finally had a home of her own. She was so emotional that she couldn't stop crying. Huang Zhenhua was happy for her and gave her many suggestions for renovations. When Huang Zhenhua mentioned installing a large bathtub in the bathroom, Su Gengsheng firmly opposed it and changed the subject. She had been sexually assaulted by her stepfather while taking a bath in a bathtub, a nightmare that she could never forget.

After Huang Yimei became pregnant, Fang Xiewen took meticulous care of her, buying her favorite snacks and supplements. However, Huang Yimei lost two pounds, and Fang Xiewen believed it was because she was overworked. He was worried about the baby's development and advised Huang Yimei to quit her job and rest at home. Huang Yimei, not wanting to be idle at home, insisted on continuing to work. Fang Xiewen, unable to convince her, thought of bringing his mother from Yanji to take care of Huang Yimei, but she politely declined.

The Golan Group held a friendly city art exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region, with Qingqing Company as one of the partners. Zhuang Guodong, representing the Golan Group, came to discuss business with Su Gengsheng. Su Gengsheng assigned Han Ying to handle the project with Zhuang Guodong. Han Ying was eager to take on the responsibility and vowed to complete it successfully.

Huang Yimei had a video call with her parents in Beijing, looking haggard. Her parents were very worried. Fang Xiewen took the opportunity to complain about Huang Yimei to them. Despite their advice, Huang Yimei insisted on continuing to work and refused to wear the radiation protection clothing he bought. Huang Zhenhua mocked Fang Xiewen, saying that radiation protection clothing was useless. This made Fang Xiewen feel even more insecure, believing that Huang Yimei's family looked down on him, and no amount of explanation from Huang Yimei could change his mind.

Mr. Wang from the architectural institute was investigated for embezzlement, and the company's accounts were sealed. Huang Zhenhua found himself with nothing to do and used the opportunity to help Su Gengsheng renovate her new house. He reported every detail to Su Gengsheng, who was too busy to respond and told him to make his own decisions.

Huang Yimei fainted on the bus on her way to work and was taken to the hospital. The doctor suspected preeclampsia and recommended a two-day hospital observation. Huang Yimei, unwilling to spend the money and having an appointment with a writer, refused to stay. Fang Xiewen, worried about the baby's development, went to her editor to request a leave of absence for her. Since Huang Yimei wasn't formally employed by the publishing house, she couldn't take long-term sick leave. Fang Xiewen then decided to resign on her behalf.

Fang Xiewen called his mother to help take care of Huang Yimei. She complained about not being informed beforehand. Fang's mother liked to cook with a lot of soybean paste, which Huang Yimei didn't like. When Fang Xiewen reminded his mother to cook lighter meals, she got angry and complained about Huang Yimei in Korean, which Huang Yimei couldn't understand.

Fang's mother had brought many clothes, filling the bed and table, and even replaced the everlasting flowers Huang Yimei had planted with garlic. Huang Yimei wanted Fang's mother and Fang Xiewen to move upstairs so she could live alone downstairs, but Fang Xiewen disagreed and asked her to compromise, making Huang Yimei feel uncomfortable.

Haizi carefully selected a graduate student who had studied abroad from many applicants, but Fang Xiewen didn't hire him just because he, like Zhuang Guodong, had studied abroad. Haizi, having personally tested the applicant's professional skills and found him suitable, wanted to discuss this with one of the shareholders, Huang Yimei. Fang Xiewen threatened to transfer all of Huang Yimei's shares to himself once they made money. Haizi stormed out in anger.

When Huang Yimei went to the publishing house, she found out that Fang Xiewen had resigned on her behalf without her knowledge. She loved her job, but Fang Xiewen had secretly handled all the procedures using her ID. The editor-in-chief was helpless.

Huang Zhenhua supervised the renovation and quickly completed it, buying new furniture as well. He took Su Gengsheng to see the new house, and she was very satisfied until she saw the bathtub, which made her face change dramatically. Huang Zhenhua was puzzled, as he had carefully chosen it.

Huang Yimei packed her things to go home, calling Fang Xiewen to come back immediately, but he excused himself, saying he had two more interviews. Huang Yimei was furious, and Fang's mother made sarcastic comments, prompting Huang Yimei to leave home in anger and call Su Gengsheng to vent.

Fang Xiewen bought several dishes Huang Yimei liked and returned home, but she had no appetite and went to her room alone. Fang's mother, disapproving of Huang Yimei, spoke ill of her to Fang Xiewen.

Fang Xiewen apologized to Huang Yimei, urging her to rest at home and claiming that the editor-in-chief was happy about her resignation. Su Gengsheng had the bathtub removed, angering Huang Zhenhua, who felt his hard work was wasted as Su Gengsheng made the decision without consulting him. They had a heated argument and parted unhappily.

Fang Xiewen and Huang Yimei argued, with Fang's mother badmouthing Huang Yimei in Korean. Unable to tolerate it anymore, Huang Yimei demanded they speak Mandarin. Fang's mother, humiliated, shouted at Huang Yimei. Fang Xiewen managed to calm his mother down and spoke kindly to Huang Yimei.
