After giving birth, Huang Yimei was discharged from the hospital and returned home. Fang Xiewen's mother disliked that she had a daughter and found fault with her in every way, threatening to return to her hometown out of spite. Fang Xiewen pleaded with her to stay, and she reluctantly agreed, deciding to wait until Huang Yimei gave birth to a grandson.

Huang Zhenhua and Su Gengsheng hurried from Beijing with many gifts to visit Huang Yimei and her daughter, Fang Taichu. Su Gengsheng overheard Fang Xiewen's mother's words and felt very upset. Huang Zhenhua couldn’t stop cuddling his niece, Fang Taichu, praising her beauty and cuteness. Huang Yimei expressed her desire to return to work, but Huang Zhenhua advised her to wait until the child was older.

Fang Xiewen’s mother eavesdropped from outside the door and urged Fang Xiewen to have Huang Yimei quickly give birth to a grandson, or else she would always want to go to work. Huang Yimei asked Huang Zhenhua about their parents' situation, and he reluctantly revealed that their father had injured himself.

Huang Yimei was extremely anxious and wanted to call to check on him, but Huang Zhenhua quickly stopped her, as their parents had repeatedly instructed him not to tell her, fearing that her anxiety might affect her milk supply. Fang Xiewen invited Su Gengsheng to visit his company, and she readily agreed. Huang Zhenhua, seeing Huang Yimei getting thinner, felt heartbroken. The house Huang Yimei rented was small and old, and the house Fang Xiewen bought was still under construction.

Huang Zhenhua wanted to rent a bigger house for Huang Yimei and her daughter, but Su Gengsheng advised him not to interfere. Huang Zhenhua was still resentful about Fang Xiewen’s mother not allowing Huang Yimei to have an epidural during childbirth. Fang Xiewen gave Su Gengsheng a tour of the company, promising to provide a better life for Huang Yimei and her daughter. Su Gengsheng reminded him to apply his controlling nature to his work, not his family.

Fang Xiewen sensed the hidden meaning in her words. Huang Yimei called her father, Huang Jianzhi, showing concern for his well-being. His leg injury was no longer serious, but Huang Yimei couldn't help but cry to him about her grievances. Huang Jianzhi comforted her. Zhou Shihui called Huang Zhenhua to report on work and recommended his friend, Fu Jiamin, for a job at the company.

Finally, Zhou Shihui inquired about Huang Yimei, and Huang Zhenhua warned him to give up any thoughts about her. Su Gengsheng was returning to Beijing with Huang Zhenhua. Before leaving, Su Gengsheng had a heartfelt talk with Huang Yimei, who planned to return to work once her child was older. Su Gengsheng fully supported her decision. Huang Zhenhua took Su Gengsheng to meet his parents.

She was gracious and well-mannered, earning the affection of Wu Yuejiang and Huang Jianzhi, which made Huang Zhenhua very happy. Spring 2009 arrived, and Huang Yimei successfully obtained her teacher certification. Fang Xiewen was unaware of this and accidentally discovered that Huang Yimei was preparing for a psychological counseling exam. Worried that she would be too busy, Huang Yimei managed her time well, balancing childcare and studying.

Fang Xiewen decided to send his mother back to her hometown so that Huang Yimei would have no time to study, but she didn't notice his intentions and even bought many Shanghai specialties for her mother-in-law. Fang Xiewen took his mother to the airport, telling her to have a good rest and come back when Huang Yimei gave birth to a son.

Huang Zhenhua went to Harrison Company to discuss a cooperation project, only to find that the legal representative was Zhou Shihui’s ex-girlfriend, Guan Zhizhi. Harrison Company was co-founded by her and her husband. Huang Zhenhua made it clear that this company was a partnership between him and Zhou Shihui, worrying that Guan Zhizhi might not cooperate because of past issues. Surprisingly, Guan Zhizhi had already moved on and even thanked Huang Zhenhua for his previous advice.

She also inquired about Huang Yimei’s current situation. After the new house was renovated, Fang Xiewen brought Huang Yimei and their daughter to live there. Fang Xiewen was busy with his career outside, while Huang Yimei stayed home, supporting her husband and raising their child. The small family lived a happy and peaceful life. In the blink of an eye, Fang Taichu turned three. Huang Yimei and Fang Xiewen held a grand birthday party for her.

Huang Yimei sent photos and videos of Fang Taichu to her parents. Wu Yuejiang and Huang Jianzhi were overjoyed to see their granddaughter growing up day by day. Huang Yimei was going to an interview at an international school and asked Fang Xiewen to take care of Fang Taichu at home. Fang Xiewen made excuses about work, but Huang Yimei insisted he stay home for one day.

Fang Xiewen told Huang Yimei to change her dress to pants, which she found unreasonable. Not wanting to argue in front of their daughter, she left in a huff. Huang Yimei applied for a position as an art teacher and confidently answered questions, presenting all the certificates she had earned over the years along with a teaching plan. The school officials were very impressed with her.
