Huang Yimei proposed a divorce to Fang Xiewen, but he refused. Huang Yimei wanted to part ways amicably, but Fang Xiewen found various excuses to avoid communicating with her, forcing her to file for divorce. The judge believed their relationship could still be repaired and dismissed her case, citing insufficient grounds for divorce. Huang Yimei decided to file again in six months.

Fang Xiewen transferred the company's shares to Tianlang Xing and laid off most of the employees. He used the money to buy a large villa for Fang Taichu. Huang Yimei was uninterested and disapproved of Fang Xiewen's unscrupulous methods of making money. Upon hearing that Huang Yimei’s divorce case was dismissed, Su Gengsheng called to inquire about the reason. Huang Yimei had anticipated this outcome and planned to appeal. She led a simple and content life, balancing taking care of her daughter and working as a translator for a publishing house.

The CEO of Tianlang Xing invited Fang Xiewen to dinner, introducing him to key company members. The new secretary, Xiao Xiaoyu, developed a liking for Fang Xiewen. He drank heavily and came home drunk, boasting in front of Huang Yimei about his ability to make money. He eventually passed out from alcohol poisoning.

Huang Yimei rushed Fang Xiewen to the hospital, where medical staff managed to revive him. Seeing Huang Yimei and Fang Taichu by his bedside, Fang Xiewen felt conflicted. He would rather die than get divorced, but Huang Yimei was resolute. She advised him to take care of his health and stop drinking so much. Seeing her determination, Fang Xiewen agreed to go to the civil affairs bureau for the divorce after his discharge. After being discharged, Fang Xiewen and Huang Yimei finalized their divorce. Huang Yimei packed her things and took four-year-old Fang Taichu back to Beijing. Fang Xiewen tearfully saw them off at the airport.

Time flew by, and it was soon 2013. Jiang Xueqiong came to Beijing to discuss opening an art gallery with Huang Yimei. They named it "Manman," a name Jiang Xueqiong's late ex-husband, Old Gu, had chosen. Huang Yimei found a suitable location and wrote a detailed plan. She sought Huang Zhenhua’s help with the design. Zhou Shihui, excitedly inquiring about the project, offered to take it over, but Huang Zhenhua firmly refused, giving him no chance to get close to Huang Yimei.

Huang Zhenhua assigned his assistant, Fu Jiamin, to fully manage the art gallery project and coordinate with Huang Yimei. She made several modifications to Huang Zhenhua’s design, which Fu Jiamin meticulously noted, providing many helpful suggestions.

Zhuang Guodong unexpectedly visited the construction site to see Huang Yimei. She congratulated him on his promotion, and he asked for another chance to start over with her. Today was Fu Jiamin’s birthday, and Huang Zhenhua, Su Gengsheng, Yuan Zheng, and Zhou Shihui came to his house to celebrate. Fu Jiamin’s brother, Fu Jiaming, hurried back home. The house belonged to Fu Jiaming, who left it to Fu Jiamin and Mi Mi as their wedding home.

Zhuang Guodong invited Huang Yimei to dinner, and she brought Fang Taichu along. Zhuang Guodong was very attentive to Fang Taichu. Fu Jiaming’s birthday gift to Fu Jiamin was a large brick, which puzzled everyone. Fu Jiaming explained that he had hit the brick while riding his motorcycle on the highway from Inner Mongolia, causing him to fall into a ditch. A truck crashed into the three cars ahead of him, and Fu Jiaming realized that if he hadn’t fallen, he would have been crushed by the truck. Everyone raised their glasses to congratulate Fu Jiaming.

Zhuang Guodong had reserved a French restaurant but worried Fang Taichu might not like it, so Huang Yimei suggested taking her for a burger instead. Huang Yimei couldn’t attend Fu Jiamin’s birthday party, but she gifted him a sketch, which he adored. He praised her beauty and talent, and Fu Jiaming became very interested in her. Yuan Zheng shared the story of Zhou Shihui breaking off his engagement for Huang Yimei. Fu Jiaming warned Fu Jiamin not to have a change of heart. Fu Jiamin mentioned Zhuang Guodong visiting Huang Yimei at the construction site, sparking Fu Jiaming’s curiosity about her. Huang Zhenhua revealed that Huang Yimei’s art gallery was about to open.

Zhuang Guodong took Huang Yimei and Fang Taichu for burgers, and Fang Taichu jokingly called him “Jelly,” embarrassing him. After dinner, Zhuang Guodong drove them home and again asked to rekindle their relationship. Huang Yimei, accustomed to her current life, advised Zhuang Guodong to move forward.

Thanks to the persistent efforts of Huang Zhenhua, Huang Yimei, and others, the opening exhibition of Manman Art Gallery went smoothly. Friends and family attended to support them. Fu Jiaming arrived early, eager to see Huang Yimei. However, Fang Taichu suddenly developed a high fever, prompting Huang Yimei to take her to the hospital. She called Jiang Xueqiong to explain the situation. Fu Jiamin was very disappointed to learn that Huang Yimei couldn’t attend.
